I went over to Neytiri and tapped her gently. She looked up at me. "Can we talk?" I asked her. She frowned at me. "I'm busy." She snapped. "Pls, it will be quick." I pled with her. "Aya, fine. Quickly!" She sighed standing up. I walked with her to a quiet area. "I know your hurt and angry right now but Jake-" "No! We do not talk about him!" She growled. She was upset with him and had every reason to be, but she had to know. "Jake, is very sorry Neytiri, and he wants you to know he's going to fix his mess and he asked me to give you this." I passed her a letter he wrote her. "Don't worry, I didn't read it either. Also, around noon Jake will be here, so prepare yourself, I know your angry at him and hurt and you have every right to be but give him another chance, and read his letter." She took the letter and walked off leaving me alone in my thoughts.

I knew the letter had the truth in it, and him telling her his past and how he fell in love with her.  I just didn't know how he was going to win her back and how he was going to make the tribe trust him.

I went back to Tus'tey side. The Na'vi where all chanting a song filled with tragic loss and yearning for help in there troubles. I looked at Tus'tey who was over watching everyone. "I want to ask you something without you getting angry." I whispered to him. He frowned at me. "What is it about?" He asked me. "Jake. Our people. " At the name of Jake he left my side. "Tus'tey-" I called after him. "No, I refuse his help! This is his fault!" "And mine." I added to his sentence. He eyes soften.  He comes to my side again hugging me. He must have knew I felt guilty about this. "You know what I mean Bella. Jake, did more damage to this village from he start. And Jake- he acts like the chief here." I smile realizing his feelings. "Your afraid Jake will try to take your place!" I whisper to him. "No. Maybe. Bella, I don't want to talk about it." He sighed laying his chin on my head.

"I'm your mate. Your supposed to be able to talk to me. That's why we had problems in the beginning my love." He let out a deep breath. He knew I was right. And it was killing him to know that I was right. "Okay, yes. I am afraid he will take my place." I smile up at him lightly rubbing his back. "My love, trust me when I say Jake only wants to help you and our people. He has no plans of taking over the clan. And, I promise you I will stay by your side as you lead this clan." I kissed his cheek. "Promise me Bell, promise me your telling me the truth. " I felt a pain in my heart. I had misplaced his trust in me so badly, he wanted me to swear I was being honest with him.  "I swear on Eywa, I will be by your side and that Jake wants nothing to do with your position."

He looked at me for a moment and then kissed me. This kiss held passion and sadness in it. It was as if he was fully forgiving me in this moment. "Let's not talk about this anymore. I will watch over while you go join in the song." He smiled leading me to Moat and Neytiri. I sat down next to Neytiri crossing my legs. She glanced at me the fire in her eyes gone. I connected my braid to the vines and started to sing.

LATE AFTERNOON

The Omaticaya people lift their voices still singing there song of  loss and asking Eywa for help to save there home.  It felt as hours had gone back without a sign of Jake. I started to worry a little.

A shadow then crossed mine and Neytiri face. We opened our eyes and saw Toruk!  The Na'vi screamed not seeing Jake on his back.

I stand with Neytiri watching  Toruk come out of the sun, beating his huge wings to slow Its landing. Its crimson and black wings, backlit by the sun, seem to glow from within.  As he trys to land the people catter as the dreaded beast alights in their midst. And then they see Jake, riding high on its shoulders, plugged-in to its antenna. It folds its wings and stands calmly amid the
paralyzed Na'vi.

Toruk lowers its body. They stare in awe as Jake dismounts and strokes the magnificent animal's flank. I only seen a skeleton of one, a alive one was beautiful and huge!
