I jerk my head up, my gaze heading to her flashy outfit.

"Uhh, right, yes, we're getting ice cream."

"What's with the stutter?" She smiles and leans closer to me.

"Amélie, go change. You look dazzling, but I would guess you were dressed for a pool party if I didn't know you, and besides, it's still breezy outside. This year might be the coldest, it's already April and we're still wearing sweaters." I sighed, took her hand, and squeezed it lightly with a little smile on my face.

"You look amazing, I promise, but your health means more to me than the way you look with me in public." I let go of her hand and met her eyes.

"Ugh, you don't love me, you don't let me shop or dress up. What's the point anyway, if you aren't going to love me?" Rolling her eyes, she strides back to her room and closes the door with a light 'bang'.

All I can do is sigh.

I'm an ass.

I don't want to be rude to her and just break up with her, but I really need someone else.

Particularly someone.

Someone that goes by the name of Winona Kyun.

She knows how to make me smile without any worries.

She knows how to hold me when I cry.

Most importantly, she is strong.

She is Winona.

That's why I need her.
