My Dark Wonderland

Chapter Three

*Haylee*

I watched as everyone but CC disappeared. I walked up to him and he looked down at me.

“She’s back you know” I said and he looked at me with confusion. I raised up one eyebrow and stared at him. Once he started to get the message his eyes widened.

“Devin Jess” He mumbled. I nodded and he closed his eyes and put his hands on his face and rubbed it.

“Andy’s not gonna be happy.” I said.

“Yeah, I know, but he loves her.” CC replied and I chuckled.

“No he love’s Miah, but also his love for her is what get’s him killed by DJ.” I said and he laughed. As we stood in the meadow I looked around.

“What are you thinking about?” He asked me while putting an hand on my arm. I looked at him and sighed.

“How this is all going to fan out. CC, if she get’s near her, we’re all screwed. Remember the last time this happened? Miah, befriended her and ended up dead within a few days. I don’t like what she has planned for this time” I said scared.

“Hayles, you know we got this. We have been waiting a century for her to come back and she’s finally here. We got this” He said and I laughed.

“No offense CC but you guy’s aren’t exactly ready. Instead of going to school, maybe you guys should be practicing.” I said and he glared at me. I glared back and punished him in the boob.

“Ow! What was that for?” He complained and I rolled my eyes and closed my eyes, to leave the realm. When I opened my eyes, I was back in the cafeteria and so was CC. I looked around the cafeteria and there she was. Devin Jess. I quickly got up and marched over to her.

“What the hell are you doing here?” I asked and she looked at me and smirked.

“My job. Since the bitch won’t die, i’m just going to have to put a little more juice into this.” She said and I was about to charge for her but strong arms held me back.

“Haylee no! It’s not time yet” CC yelled at me but I just continued to fight against him. DJ walked away smirking while shaking her ass. I stopped fighting and turned around and smiled.

“What?” He said and I shook my head. I turned around and followed DJ up the hall. I heard CC’s footsteps from behind me and I looked back a little and he was looking at the ground with his hands in his pockets. I stopped and waited for him to catch up with me. When he was I hooked my arm in his and he stopped. I put a hand on his arm and put my head on it as well. I looked down at the floor and I swear I could feel him smiling. I smile lightly and blushed. I felt a hand on mine. I looked at the hand and it was CC’s. We then started walking again and all I could think is what was happening to me. All of a sudden I want to be around CC, have him touch me and hold me. In all of the three thousand year’s I have known him I have never felt like this. We have always been at each other’s throats but for some reason it feels nice.

“CC! Haylee!” Jinxx yelled from somewhere and I looked around. When I saw that he was coming from CC’s left, I panicked.

“DJ’s Back!” He said as soon as he was right next to us. I quickly let go of CC and nodded.

“Yeah I know, I sensed her last night in front of Miah’s house. She was doing something but I didn’t know what. All I know is that her eyes were black and she was casting something.” I replied.

“Wait you knew and didn’t warn us!? Jinxx yelled and I quickly went over to him and put my hand around his mouth.

“I didn’t tell you guys because I knew you would tell Andy. We haven’t have him distracted. He keeps going back to her and I don’t know why.” I said and Jinxx looked at me like I had three heads. I removed my hand from his mouth and sighed.

“We all know why but every time we bring it up to Andy he deny’s it. Haylee, you don’t think she erased the memories of them, do you?” He asked and I thought about it.

“It is possible but that is messing with some very dark and old magic. I’ve only seen it a few times but I know when it’s been used. I’ll talk to Andy about DJ and see if I can’t hack that thick skull of his” I said and Jinxx laughed.

“You do realize that we are all two thousand years old right?” Jinxx said and and I nodded.

“Well so am, but I know the ropes. I’ve been playing and practice magic since I was born” I said and CC snickered.

“That’s physically impossible.” He said and I smacked his arm.

“Shut up” I said and sighed in annoyance. I ran my hands through my hair and closed my eyes.

“If we’re going to do this then we need to do it right.” I said and looked at them. They looked at me and I smiled slightly.

*Two hours later*

As I walk into the library for my class, which is study hall, I try to find Miah. Knowing Andy, he’s going to be somewhere near her. I scanned the room looking for her and when I saw her I sighed in relief. I looked around her to find Andy but he wasn’t anywhere. I turn around to go and look for him, but with my luck, he was right there behind me talking to DJ. I marched up to him and grabbed his hand.

“I need to talk to you” I said and pulled him away from the little bitch-I mean witch.. No I mean bitch.

“Haylee what do you want now?” He said and Once we were out of the library I pulled him in front of me.

“How long have you known DJ?” I asked him and he looked at me in confusion.

“Since I was five. Why?” He said.

“Do you remember the bad she did to you? The pain she caused you?” I asked and he sighed.

“No, I don’t” He said but his eyes said a different thing. I sighed in defeat and then closed my eyes.

“Meet me in the Meadow when Miah falls asleep. You me and the other four NEED to have a discussion.” I said and he nodded. I then opened the door to the library and walked to Miah. When I got there she wasn’t where I saw her. I walked to her stuff and it was all there. I packed her stuff up and went to the librarian.

“Mrs. Ross have you seen Miah?” I asked and she nodded. She pointed with her Pen up. I looked up and saw her by the railing talking to DJ. I backed up a little bit and saw that she was trying to get away. Good Girl. As soon as Miah turned away DJ grabbed her by the hair and yanked her back. I dropped Miah’s things and ran to the stairs, ran up them to get to Miah. When I did DJ was trying to pour something down her throat. I quickly ran to her and grabbed the vial. When I had it I covered the top with my thumb.

“Give that back Haylee” DJ hissed at me and I shook my head no. I then went up to DJ and smacked across the face. Once her head was to the side, I untangled her hand from Miah’s Hair and held onto her.

“Come near her again and I will kill you” I said and DJ Laughed.

“Not if I kill you first Bitch” She said and walked away.

“Haylee, who was that? And what is she?!” She said. I looked at her and shook my head. I looked at the Vial and it was blood. Shit. That’s what she meant by juice.
