As much as possible, he also doesn't want to encounter nor fight that thing again, that featureless version of Shinra that almost put him in a tight spot they called death.

24th of December, 5:32 p.m.
Start of Hundred Demons Night Parade"Are you sure that you're not coming with us, Shinra?" my mother calmly asked with a hint of distress in her voice. "Ritsu will surely get worry if you didn't come home with us."
"Uhh..."
"Your mother is right, Shinra," father stated while carrying mother's grocery and other stuffs. "And our train will be here soon..."
"Umm..."
"You must decide whether to come or not, Sweety."
That's right, should I just abolish my plan and forget everythi—no.
I take a deep breath first, "It's . . . It's okay, I'm . . . not going to come with you," before giving them a reassuring smile. "And I'll just explain everything to him later."
My beloved mother gave me a kiss on the forehead first, "Then be sure to come home early, okay? I'll cook my specialty dish for our dinner, and I don't want you to miss it, Shinra."
"Of course," I gently replied before giving her a warm hug, "thank you for working hard, haha-ue..." then I look at father's direction, "you too, chichi-ue."
He simply nodded as an answer before giving me a light head pat.
A couple of minutes passed before their train finally came, we first bowed at one another as a sign of respect and goodbye, before they both took a step towards the almost empty vehicle.
That's weird . . . especially at this time.
As the train starts to run again, I just silently watch it to go from my original spot, before continuing my journey when I couldn't see it any longer.
I saliently blinked thrice before walking to the other side of the station where the train that I need to take is located. In order for me to reach that place, I need to spend at least ten minutes of my time inside that train and a minimum of 26 minutes on a local taxi.
When I finally reached the lane of people who's also waiting for the exact train that I will ride later, I carefully rummage for the small piece yellow paper inside the pocket of my thick black sweater that I am currently wearing to fight the cold weather of December.
"College..." I mumbled to myself while staring at the paper with a written school name and its address on it. "Is it really okay for me to enter this school even though I'm still in my 8th grade?"
Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College.
What a cool name for an odd place.
START OF FLASHBACK . . .
"You mean, I need to enter this school for everyone's safety?" I hesitantly asked while looking at the piece of yellow paper he gave to me.
