Frankie's POV

~ ♡

"Frankie, someone's at the door." A voice said and nudged my arm.

"Answer it then." I rolled over.

"Its your house though." He grumbled.

"Shh... trying to sleep." I sighed. He sighed and a few moment later the door opened.

"Is Frances here?" The person asked. My eyes shot open.

"She's asleep." Chris told him.

"Um... could you tell her to call-"

"No!" I jumped up and over the back of the couch before opening the door all the way and hugging him tightly.

"Oh!" He laughed.

"Will! Oh my gosh." I hugged him more.

"Hey, kiddo." He said and hugged back.

"What are you doing here?" I asked and let him walk in.

"I was in town, saw you were here, and decided to visit." He smiled. Chris gave me a look the walked to the kitchen. "Who's that?"

"A friend from out of town. He's visiting until next week." I told him.

"Alone with a boy?" He gas a disapproving look.

"As far as I'm aware, we're just friends. Plus he lives in Missouri." I told him.

"He's a little... covered in tattoos. Isn't he?" He looked towards the kitchen.

"yeah. I've known him since he had like... five tattoos, if that." I said.

"You look at him as more than a friend." He said quietly.

"...He's a sweety. And he cares. It's just nice to have some around." I sighed.

"Hey, Frankie." Chris called in. I stood up and walked in. "The coffee pot won't work."

"Really?" I walked over and clicked the on button, but nothing happened.

"Who's the dude?" He asked.

"He was the commanding officer for my dad." I told him.

"...Oh." He said. I nodded before seeing the cord to the coffee pot.

"Its not plugged in." I stated.

"Really?" He looked at it then went red. "Oh." I laughed and plugged it in before walking back to the livingroom. Chris walked over to me. "I'm just gonna get a shower and stuff real quick." He whispered.

"You okay?" I asked.

"... I feel unwanted in the situation. " He admitted.

"You're fine, Chris." I told him. He thought for a moment before sitting next to me. Will smiled at him slightly, and he smiled back.

"What's your name?" Will asked him.

"Chris." He told him.

"Is that short for Christian?" Will asked.

"Nope. Sort for Christofer. Spelled with an F because my mom decided to make things difficult." He said. I chuckled and looked at him.

"I'll... go get us some coffee. You want any, Will?" I stood up. Chris gave me a death glare and I smiled.

"Yeah, I'll take some coffee." Will said. I went to the kitchen and listened to them.

"So, what are your intentions with Fran?" Will asked him.

"Um... e-excuse me?" Chris sounded confused.

"Since her dad passed away, I'm her only father figure and I plan to keep it that way. What are your intentions with her?" Will asked again.

"We're just friends. Even if I wanted more, that's all she sees me as." He told him. I leaned back.

"Do you like her?" Will asked.

"...I don't know." Chris sighed.

"You hesitated." Will stated.

"Does that mean something?" Chris asked him.

"You do like her. I can tell in the way you talk. And it's just in your eyes." Will replied. I hesitated before walking into the room. Chris was looking at Will almost in shock. I handed them their cups of coffee then sat next to Will.

"So..." Chris sat back and looked at me.

"Frankie, do you still work at that waffle place?" Will looked at me.

"Yep." I smiled. Chris watched me, and I pretended not to notice. However, I glanced at him and his cheeks went red.

"I'll be back in a few." He stood up and walked down the hall. I looked at him for a moment before looking over and sipping my coffee.

"So..." Will started.

"I heard you and him talking." I stated.

"I figured." He replied. I nodded and sipped the coffee again. Chris walked in a moment later with his cigarettes and sat down. I looked at him then at Will.

"Tigger is in there whining, by the way." Chris said.

"He's such a baby..." I joked and bit my lip.

"You still have him?" Will asked.

"I'd never let anyone take him from me..." I told him. He smiled at me before looking at the coffee. We talked for a while before eventually he left. Chris was on the couch blankly staring at the wall with a cigarette in his mouth when he spoke.

"You know... He's a scary man." He said.

"Can be. He's usually a sweetie." I told him and sat down. He looked over at me before his face scrunched up in though. He puffed his cigarette then slowly blew out the smoke.

"You really are something..." he smiled and shook his head. I blushed and looked down. His phone rang and he sighed before looking at it. A moment later, his eyes widened. He answered and gave me an apologetic look.

"Hi, mom." He answered. I smiled and walked to the other room.

Chris's POV

~ ♢

" Hi, mom." I answered.

"Hey, Chris." I could hear the smile in her voice.

"How are you?"I asked, putting out my cigarette.

"I'm good. So, I was in town today..." she said. I sighed.

"You were?" I asked.

"Mhm... And you weren't." I heard the disappointment.

"Yeah, I'm... I'm in Tennessee." I told her.

"Tennessee?" She sounded shocked.

"Yeah. Visiting a friend." I looked down.

"Oh." She didn't elaborate.

"I've known her for years-"

"Her?" She interrupt.

"Yes, it's a girl." I chuckled.

"Like, a girlfriend?" She asked.

"I don't think so, mom. Sorry to disappoint." I bit my lip.

"Well... just be safe, okay?" She said.

"I know." I smiled.

"Good. Love you, Chris." She stated.

"Love you, too, mom." I told her before hanging up. I leaned back and sighed heavily.

So, like... the amount of writers block I have is ridiculous. Also, I went to a concert last week and passed out in a mosh pit. Am I cool yet?
