"The most popular depictions of the unicorn are known by Greek and European accounts and mythology, though there are similar unicorn-like creatures that have been recorded throughout the world. There were many interpretations of the beast – some saw it as the incarnation of purity and grace. Some believed that the horn of the beast had the power to provide cures for sickness and the ability to serve as an antidote for poison.

The Greek & European accounts usually depicted Unicorns as pure white in colour. They were horse-like in appearance, with a large horn protruding from their forehead.

Because of its supposed magical abilities, the unicorn and its horn was greatly sought after by anyone with means in the early ages. It was common for those of great wealth or nobility to attempt to procure a horn to protect themselves against attacks or to extend their lifespan in general. In fact, many 'horns' were sold by traders who came from the north and south. While these were not unicorn horns (they were either rhinoceros horns or narwhal horns), they sold for many times their weight and gold and proved to be a very profitable industry."

Unicorns are not as horse-like as old myths and legends thought them to be. Instead, they are humans, possessing magical abilities.

In ancient times, they were often confused with Witches - therefore it was vital for them to hide if their powers were ever seen by another. In order to hide, they would cast an illusion of a singular horned horse and then continue to spread rumours of such creature, in hopes humans would become distracted by finding something that didn't exist rather than hunting down what did.

This 'Unicorn' became the symbol of these magical people - hence why they then took on the same name.

It's said that a single drop of their silvery blood, as well as their magic alone, can cure any wound, and any sickness. And it's this fact as to why in the modern day, they are such rare creatures - Hunters have driven them to near extinction in sought of their healing abilities.

PHYSICAL;

Unicorns are human in appearance. They can resemble any sort of human physique. The colour of their hair, eyes and skin can vary. Their ethnicity and language can also vary. It really just depends on the person.

The only thing that may alert others of what they are is their magic. Unicorns can possess their magic in whatever form they're in. This magic is pearlescent in colour, and can show itself in the form of glowing eyes or energy from their hands.

Unicorns also have silvery metallic blood.

ABOUT;

A group of Unicorns is called a blessing. However, due to the small numbers of these people left in the world, they no longer tend to travel in groups, and instead keep to themselves.

Also because of this mass extinction - whereas they once were considered creatures of purity and kindness, often now-days they are hateful and distrustful towards humanity. Whilst they still value peace and prosperity, their way of going about it has strayed to violence.

To become a Unicorn, one must be born by blood.

All Unicorns possess;

Glowing Eyes;

A Unicorn's eyes will glow pearlescent; meaning they have a variety of swirling colours in their pupils. Which colour presents itself most prominently is determined by the energetic auras of the people around them. Unicorn's are strongly in tune to energies, this including emotions. So if say someone was feeling sad in their presence, the prominent colour of their eyes would present itself in blues.

Their eyes are also in tune to light - meaning they're able to look directly into sun, and other bright sources.

Pearlescent Energy Magic;

Light Energy Magic - Ability to control and manipulate light through it's energy fields. This can allow them to create illusions, rainbows, or even offensive and defensive attacks like energy force-fields or large blasts of light.

 They can also sense different fields of light energies.

Biological Energy Magic - Has the ability to sense other's energies, thus giving them to power to know other's emotions and souls. They can also change these emotions.

Also has the ability to remove all negative and evil energies from another.

Can also heal themselves or others by using energy.

Accelerated Healing;

They are able to rapidly heal from most injuries.

Healing Blood;

Their blood can heal nearly any wound.

WEAKNESSES;

Deadly nightshade - It is the only known plant that is able to surpass a Unicorn's healing abilities. It causes them to hallucinate or, in larger doses, become unconscious.

Darkness - A Unicorn's magic comes from the light. This means that they must 'recharge' their abilities (this may be as simple as bathing in sunlight or even moonlight for a few hours). If they do not do this, and are limited to their light exposure, they grow weak and unable to possess their abilities.

Decapitation

Can stop healing if they're not in the right frame of mind

NOTES;

Due to Unicorns actually being humans who utilise supernatural forces and not supernatural creatures themselves, Mountain Ash barriers do not repel them.

Whilst there are creatures of the moon and then creatures of the sun; Unicorns are the only creature that falls into both categories. They are creatures of an eclipse, and are often thought to be the balance or bridge between the those two types of supernatural entities.
