Five : The devil's deal

"KYAAAAAAAAAAA!" Kobeni yelled as she charged towards the pair, Denji got on a fighting stance at the same moment but- Clatter as the knife fell from her hand after it was hit by Aki. Himeno proceeded to knock her out cold.

"Man it's annoying. Aki, if the fox swallows it, won't that end this?" she asked.

"...Looks like the fox isn't coming. We're cut off from the outside... Since the fox's body is in Kyoto." Aki replied.

"Guess I'll do it with my ghost then." as she clenched her fist." OWWWWWWW!" the creature yelled as a piece of it was taken out of its head. It shrieked in pain and lunged towards the group.

"It got bigger!" Himeno alerted.

It began to talk again, "It is... useless... This is not my real body."

"My heart is not here. This is inside my stomach. My weak point is not on the 8th floor."

"Unless you contract with me, you will not leave alive."

"Huh! Not like you'd let them out even if they killed me!" Denji ranted.

"That's not true. You heard it say "contract, right?" Himeno pointed out, "When a devil uses the word contract it holds a powerful meaning."

"As long as one side upholds its end of the contract, the other absolutely has to follow through. Breaking the contract means death." she continued, "So it is true that if we kill you we'll get out."

Denji sweatdropped upon hearing this. Sallos couldn't care less and enjoy his gum Aki gave him.

A trembled voice spoke out, which belonged to a blanket wrapped Arai," Himeno... we should kill him."

"If we just kill him, we can get outside and figure out a plan to deal with it.... At this rate, we'll all starve to death in this hotel..." he warned, "It's allowed by law for devil hunters to contract with a devil...! We should take that devil's deal!"

"The devil wants to kill Denji... which means it has something to gain from Denji dying. So I won't take the contract."Aki commented.

"A devilman can't form a contract with a devil. So even if you kill Denji, the devil has no obligation to let you out." Aki informed them.

"At any rate, we're not killing Denji. We're devil hunters... we only kill devils."

The group except for Power and Sallos, sat not too close, not too far from the devil. They pondered for a way to defeat the devil and escape the hotel.

"Aki... do you have some kind of plan to get out?" Himeno questioned.

"But at this rate, we will starve to death."

Denji looked at the two," If you can solve this using that sword... then why not use it."

"Got it... I figured it out..." Kobeni murmured." The reason we can't leave the 8th floor is because of the devilman's power! That's definitely it!" she bawled, pointing the knife at Power.

"But it's not?" Power dumbfounded.

"Calm down Kobeni! She's a blood devilman!" Arai intervened.

"Covering for her...? Even though we are devil hunters!" Kobeni continued," YOU'RE WORKING WITH THE DEVIL, ARAI! YOU WERE A SPYYY!!"

"So you're a spy." Power not helping the situation.

"I'm not on the devil's side.." he answered.

"YOU'RE DEFINITELY A SPYYYY!!" she shouted as she brought the knife close to his face. Arai screamed at her action, scared.

Meanwhile, somewhere in a toilet, Sallos is wondering why the hell they're screaming. He can't even shit in peace, he just wants this shit to be over with.

"A scream?" Himeno heard something.

"RUN!" Aki alerted her.

The 'thing' or the devil starts chasing after them. Hands emerging, trying to grab the group.

"Kill Denji and give me his heart. Give it to me." It ordered at the ones in the hotel room.

I expand with terror. Creatures trapped by terror. Your deaths will be guaranteed. Fall deeper into terror. Dread death. Fear everything. The one to kill Chainsaw Man will be I. I, the Devil of Eternity.

The building suddenly tilted to its side, causing all the things to fall.

The devil is now in the hallway, "Give me Denji's heart!" it demanded.
