Flowers of Despair || Haruto from TREASURE

special chapter: 01

The Treasure Makers were all patiently waiting in excitement while holding their lightsticks and watching some cute clips filmed by the Treasure members in the middle of the concert. The boys just finished performing their famous feel-good song, My Treasure, and left to start off with the solo and unit performances. No one knew who was next and they didn't know what to expect so the suspense made them save up their energy while waiting.

The large screens dimmed and the arena went dark, only having the brightness of the lightsticks filling it. A spotlight appeared in the middle of the stage to reveal the tall figure of Haruto.

"Hello, Teumes." He greeted them with his deep voice, making the crowd go wild. Everyone was cheering and hollering which made him smile brightly.

"How is everyone? Are you enjoying?" He asked and immediately got some cheers as a response which made him chuckle.

"So just a bit of some background on my performance to calm your hyped up selves, I'll be doing a solo performance." As usual, the crowd cheered for him. "I wrote this song with Asahi hyung, it's a very special song to me."

He looked around the arena, seeing all the lightsticks waving around while listening to him intently. "I can trust Teumes right? Can I tell you something right now?" He asked.

"Yes!" They all answered to him in a chorus.

"Alright," He took a deep breath. "Before this song was made, I was supposed to perform something else today for a special person. Sadly, that person left before I could even let her hear it. I wrote this song with Asahi hyung and changed what I was going to perform. Do you all want to hear it?"

"Yes!" The crowd cheered.

"Happy birthday Asahi hyung and uhm," He prepared himself. "To that special person, wherever you are, happy birthday to you too."

Teumes went wild and a mixture of sad and excited cheers were heard. "This is entitled Orange."

"I'm faster for a minute and a second
I want to see you,
You say you are always busy so we have limited time again
Happy times go quickly it's so unfortunate-"

Despite Haruto being a rapper, he sang the song beautifully with passion. Teumes waved their hands along with their lightsticks as they listened to the new song being performed.

"Like orange again today, I'm still getting colored by you
I feel like I'll go home while regretting, I want to be with you more,
Even if the sun goes down as if I'm waiting for it to rise again, I want to see you tomorrow
I feel sad while going home, unfortunately, the sunset began to appear again today-"

Some of the Treasure Makers gasped while listening, they didn't expect him and Asahi to make such a song. Their hearts ached for him, they knew how hard it was to go through a break-up... or at least a fake one. He thought of Eunhye while singing the song, making him somewhat hurt by the lyrics he was belting out.

"Today's color is orange with the cool breeze, I narrow my distance to you and hold your hand
Even if I say meaningless words, you don't look at me if you're nervous,
When it starts to get dark, my expressions are getting dark too
Before you turn around I want to tell you today-"

He effortlessly rapped the lyrics with tears in his eyes, it was hard to fight it back but he had to. Haruto didn't want Treasure Makers to see him cry. Some of the Treasure Makers were crying as well cause they could relate to it in various ways as they remember not wanting someone to leave them.

"The time stops, just like this I wish the sun didn't set
I'll smile only for you so you can go happily,
I'm sorry for that shining sunset
You can go first, I'll smile and let you go."

One by one the Treasure members went out from backstage while singing with their sky blue handmics, revealing their outfits for their next solo and unit performances. Treasure Makers started crying while hearing the 12 of them sing altogether, making Haruto do the same.

The members comforted him while he was crying, they continued the song for him and rubbed his back as well. As the song ended, they all did a group hug which made Teumes clap their hands and cry along with them.

"We love you Haruto, we love you Treasure!"

"Treasure and Teumes forever!"

"Don't cry!"

"Ah we're sending you our long distance hugs, Haruto." A Treasure Maker said to herself. "I'm pretty sure your special person wants to give you hugs too..."

"Yeah she does." Someone next to her replied which made her glance towards that direction.

She gasped once she saw who it was. "Holy mother of princesses-"
