The last few months have been busy as hell, but I couldn't be happier with the results. Kilian and I moved into the new apartment, and he helped me set up my studio in no time. My life has finally taken the turn I was working my ass off for; it gave me a new beginning in a new city, with the people I love most.

"Why did I agree to this again?" Kilian groans, his eyebrows raised as he holds the football in front of him.

"Because you were an idiot and because you said you'd do anything to make up for it. This is it." I shrug, although I can't hide the grin on my lips. "Besides, you're doing a pretty good job."

That was an understatement. When I said Kilian would have to agree to a photoshoot to make up for his behavior toward Mitchell, I expected him to be good at it. I didn't expect him to shine like the brightest star up there though; his behavior was more than professional all morning.

"Ah, that's what happens with a body like this." He waves his hands in front of him, showing off the sleek leather jacket he's wearing. "But you know that already, don't you, Venus?"

I can't help but laugh at his overconfidence, even though he's absolutely right. It's his appeal that makes it so easy to work with him, that shows just how much he belongs behind a camera. He's a natural.

"Of course I do, pizza boy." I lower the camera to take in the scene in front of me; the man I love listening to every command to fulfill his promise, to make up for his mistakes.

Who knew Kilian Rogers of all people would ever go to such lengths to ensure his girlfriend's happiness?

Well, truth be told, I did. The way he so mercilessly fought right along my side to turn this studio into the workplace I always dreamed of, to be who I needed him to be so I can focus on my career and this project, it will forever take my breath away. I wasn't even that angry at him for telling Mitchell what he did. I knew it was just good old Kilian fashion to feel the need to one-up Mitchell Brown however he could, but I still wished he would've let me know about it.

"You okay?" His question startles me out of my thoughts, and I find him glancing up at me with a raised brow.

"Yeah." I clear my throat before I focus back on the task at hand, the man with trusting brown eyes right in front of me. "Get on your knees."

"What?" He laughs. "Oh, okay. This is getting kinky, isn't it?"

"Kilian..." I roll my eyes, although I can't suppress the smirk on my lips.

"Sorry, not sorry." His laugh echoes through the studio as he gets on his knees, the football still clutched in his hands.

"Good. Now lift one knee up and hold the football in your left hand."

I'm glad when he doesn't question my commands, but simply follows through, even if it's with furrowed brows. "I still have no idea what you get out of this," he mutters.

"Some brilliant pictures." I shrug before I take a couple of shots, and by now I'm not surprised that Kilian knows how to move with every single time I press the release. It's comical, almost, how good he is at this.

"You know what I think is weird?" He shoots me a curious glance, and I already feel the adrenaline run through my veins when he continues, "That we're doing this photoshoot on the same day I showed up by your hotel door one year ago."

I have a hard time suppressing my emotions at the fact that this man remembers a date like that so effortlessly, as if it served as a milestone in his life. It warms my heart, and yet I want him to shut up right now. "Is it?"
