Chapter 4

I was at home now and just got out of the shower and into my warm bed snuggled up with a hot cocoa, scrolling through tiktok when I got a text from an unknown number. Usually I would ignore it but I was bored so I decided to answer.

Unknown: Heyoooo

Me: Uh who is this?

Unknown: Lmao guesss

I don't remember giving anyone my number.

Me: Um idk

Unknown: Its me walker lol

Ohhh of course it was Walker I can't believe I forgot that. I changed his contact name to "Weirdo", smirking at the name. I know he's not exactly the typical weirdo but if he every saw it, it would make him mad and I would be laughing my butt off.

Me: Ohhhh I forgot I gave you my number

In just a few seconds I got a reply.

Weirdo: Lmao ohhh. So are you coming to saddle ranch tomorrow?

Me: Who's going?

Weirdo: Gavin, Alex, Me, and Avery

I decided to go with them because I didn't have anything scheduled.

Me: Ok sure what time?

Weirdo: I think around 5:30 we're meeting at the content house.

Me: Cya there!

Weirdo: Cya

I was watching Netflix on my bed the next day when I suddenly remembered I was going to Saddle Ranch today, I immediatly sprung up and got ready. I didn't think it was going to be that cold out so I just through on a black lace shirt and some ripped jeans. Dom had a date with Sophie Dossi at Saddle too so he dropped me off there and went to his date. I patiently waited for the others to arrive but no one came. I was starting to think they had bailed but then I saw 4 dark figures approaching me from a distance. As the figures emerged closer I saw that the figures were, Gavin, Alex, Walker, and Avery.

"Hey Guys!", I yelled out to them

"Yoooo!", Gavin yelled back.

"Took you guys long enough", I said with a chuckle.

"Beauty takes time", Alex remarked with confidence. She wasn't wrong either. Alex was stunning. She was practically glowing in the warm light of Saddle Ranch. My eyes drifted off to Walker and Avery. Avery was standing strikingly close to Walker, but he didn't seem to notice her. Walker had a basic leather jacket and jeans look going on but still managed to look cute somehow. Avery was looking gorgeous as usual in her short spring dress and high boots. Her hair was pulled up into a high ponytail. I looked down at my own outfit realizing I had underdressed majorly.

"So are we gonna get a table or what", Avery piped in with a little edge in her tone.

"Yeah Avery's right, we should get a table before the good ones are all taken", Walker replied.

We went to get a table and found one beside a waterfall. God we were so lucky, the only other one they had was in the corner beside the kitchen. I found a seat in between Gavin and Alex. Avery made sure she got a seat beside Walker, predictable much.

"Uh Capri? You good?", Walker asked with concern in his eyes.

I realized I had drifted off again and I felt my cheeks heat up a little. I needed to stop doing that.

"Yeah, sorry I'm fine", I said reassuring him.

We all had finished our food and were outside walking to the parking lot. I felt goosebumps creep up on my skin and shivered clutched my arms to my chest. I can't believe I forgot to bring a jacket. I'm so stupid! Walker seemed to take notice of this and looked over at me with a concerned look.

"Here take this", Walker said as he took off his jacket and lightly placed his jacket on my shoulders. It was a simple move but it made my heart flutter. I quickly forced my heart to stop whatever feeling that was happening. I managed to stop but couldn't help a smile.

"Thanks Walker but I'm fine", I lied trying to be smooth.

His eyes softened and saw right through my act.

"No you're not and I wont take no for an answer", He scoffed with amusement in his eyes.

Of course he wanted to annoy me, ugh boys. Sure he was annoying but he sure wasn't getting this jacket back, I thought with a smile.
