The four of us sit in front of headmaster Reid's huge mahogany desk. I mean what does that man need a desk that big for, unless he plans on getting a little something, something. Okay EWE I don't even want to go there. Reid is sitting behind his desk with his fingers steeped to his lips looking thoroughly pissed off. I've never seen him this mad before in my life, and I've put him through all kinds of hell. I sit on the far end with Riley to my right, Shifty and then Wolf boy sit next to each other shooting daggers at us with their eyes. I mean if looks could kill we'd be dead 10 times over by now.

" I have no clue what I'm going to do with any of you," Reid says through gritted teeth, "I know that you Mr. Rivera and Mr. Celeste have no prior experience with Miss Spence and Miss Cooper," he says pointedly looking at each of us. So I wonder which ones which, Is Wolf boy Rivera or Celeste. I'm completely zoning when headmaster Reid snaps, "Miss Spence have you been listening to a word I've said?"

"Ah in all honesty..... No." I tell him truthfully.

That earned me snicker from Riley. Reid snaps his head towards Riley which instantly shuts her up. "Well then Miss Cooper seeing as you find this whole situation, so funny you can explain your punishment to Miss Spence," Reid says leaning back into his chair.

Riley turns around in her chair to face me pulling her legs up getting all comfy, "OK so, Reid is really cheesed off that you were kicking the crap outta Wolf boy who turns to be Mr. Celeste and he is also tired of me stopping him from stopping you and vice versa. So seeing as we not only get to share detention for a week with these losers, we have to take them under our wing, but if we mess up we get kicked out for good sooo yeaaaaaa," Riley gushes out in one whole breath. "That about cover it Reid?" Riley says sweetly batting her eyes at him.

"Miss Cooper, my name to YOU is Headmaster Reid, and yes I guess you've covered the basics," turning to me he says, " Miss Spence do we have an understanding that you will serve one weeks detention, along with showing Mr. Celeste and Mr. Rivera around Apollo Prep. If you fail to abide by my rules you will be expelled no questions asked."

"No questions asked, you're kidding me right! It would be their word against mine! Oh wait it there would be no against mine now would there," I fume. He just shrugs his shoulders and looks bored by my rant. "I have one year left I need everything I can get. I have no clue when the claiming will happen, I have to be ready, and I can't fail." I'm frantic my hearts racing, I'm having a full blown panic attack. FUCK! He's never threatened to kick my butt out and I've done a lot worst. Reid looks at me with eyes wide with fear.

"Gia breath, we're good. We're not going to go anywhere." Riley says soothingly to me as she rubs my hand. "Right Headmaster Reid," she snaps her head towards him and speaks through clenched jaws.

Reid is still sitting back in his chair staring wide eyed at me. He licks his lips and says, "Yes Gianna everything will be fine, we'll help you don't worry. Please calm down now dear." Reid has never seen me in panic attack mode, attack mode yes, but never like this.

I get dangerous when my emotions get out of control. Bad things can happen and I don't want to hurt any of these people, even Wolf boy and Shifty now that I'm calmed down from the parking spot thing. I don't even know all that I can do and it scares the hell out of me.

The boys look from me to Headmaster Reid and then back again. "Ah not to be rude or anything, but what's going on here? One minute your about to kick her out and now you're calling her dear?" Shifty says.

"Ah Mr. Rivera if I were you I'd hold your tongue." Reid says as he darts a look at me. I turn my head towards Shifty and Wolf boy.

"Holy shit your eyes are on like fire or some shit," Shifty's voice goes up a couple of octaves while he is pointing and staring at me.

"She's the claiming key, the key to our survival. That's what Headmaster Reid meant when he said key or no key in the parking lot, isn't it," Wolf boy says looking at me in wonder. "That's how you knew I was a werewolf, and how even though you're a vampire you can do magic,"

I look down and mumble, "I'm a hybrid, my mom's a Witch and my dad's a Vampire that's why."

"No you are so much more," Wolf boy says still in wonder.

I take a deep breath to pull myself back together to my normal bad ass self and I'm mentally kicking myself in the butt for looking vulnerable in front of these people.

"OK the pow-wows over can we get to class before the day is over and I have to be stuck in detention," I say back to normal.

Reid smiles with relief for dodging a def-con 5 major freak out. "Yes Miss Spence, you may proceed with your day, but please don't forget you and Miss Cooper have to show Mr. Rivera and Mr. Celeste around," Reid sighs showing how relived he really is.

"OK then peace out Headmaster Reid," Riley says jumping out of her chair.

"Miss Cooper," Reid scolds her as if she were 5 years old. I can't help but to smile as I get out of my chair.

"What? I said Headmaster?" Riley asked confused.

"Miss Cooper it is not what you.... Never mind," Reid says giving up on trying to make Riley use manners that she may or may not have. I think he's drained from today or maybe from the last 4 years, I don't know, I'm just glad I'm on my way out of his office.

We all head out of the main building and out into the quad. I abruptly stop and turn to face Wolf boy and Shifty. Pointing at them I say, "Don't plan on sticking around us all day. We'll point out where everything is but that's it. We're not going to hold your hands and walk you to each of your classes."

"Aw I kinda like the thought of you holding my hand to class," Wolf boy says to me with that sexy smirk of his. Oh boy he is hot like third degree burns hot, but God he is annoying.

"Can we please go now I'm getting tired of Wolf boy and Shifty," Riley covers her mouth and yawns dramatically.

"Wolf boy" "Shifty" the two boys say at the same time.

"For your information my name is Axel, and this here is Bain," Wolf boy says first pointing at himself and then to Shifty.
