Chapter 12

I sit back with a smug satisfied smile on my face; HA take that Gianna I think to myself when my thoughts are interrupted by Bain.

"Dude what the fucks a matter with you?" Bain turns around from watching Gia leave the cafeteria.

"What's the matter with me?? What's the matter with her is a better question to be asking."

"No it's not! She just left because you're a royal shit head. You don't do that to people it's not right. I have been sticking up for you left and right man and you know what I'm not going to do it anymore. I like Gianna she's my friend and she doesn't deserve this kind of shit on top of everything else she has to deal with."

He really isn't saying this shit to me he's supposed to be my best friend I've known him since I was seven. "I never asked you to stick up for me, last time I checked I was a big boy, and you're really gonna stand up for some girl you really just meet?" I question him.

"You know what, your right, you never did ask me to, but that's what friends do and that's exactly what I'm doing for Gianna," Bain says as he stands up.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?"

"I'm going to see if there's anything I can do for a friend. Not that you would know anything about that." Bain sticks his hand out and helps Riley out of the booth and continues to hold it as they walk out of the cafeteria together.

I'm left utterly alone in the cafeteria with God knows how many Supers staring at me with their mouths hanging open. FUCK! I think I just lost my best friend over some girl and to think it's not even over whom wants to sleep with her or anything that would make sense really. I mean I know that doesn't even make sense but at least that would be something normal 18 year-old guys would fight about, at least when it came to a hot girl. I drop my head down on the table and bounce it off of it a few times for good measure. I like Gianna I mean I really like her. I don't know what happened back at that quad, but I know she felt it too. Whether or not it felt the same to her as it did to me, is another question entirely. For me it felt like my heart got hot wired and was about to burst through my chest, it wasn't painful in the least bit, if anything I think it energized me. I can still taste her on my lips, she's done something no other woman has ever done, and she's leaving me begging for more. Well I don't even think that I have a chance with her anymore. I thwack my head more forcefully off the table top.

"Hey now, I wouldn't do that if I were you. It'd be a pity if you actually did break my table, but I just foresee you having a major headache." I peek under my arm to see the Fae from before hover at the end of the table.

"I deserve more than a headache," I mumble.

"Well I wish I could say that you didn't, but you do, and I don't want anything to happen to my table so I really do suggest you stop." Lita is still standing there; well I should say hovering there, with her arms crossed giving me the stink eye. Great just great have I really pissed every single person off that I've meet today. That has to be a personal best or something. "May I sit? OH what am I asking for this is my cafeteria so of course I can sit where ever I please," Lita with her fluttering purple wings slides into the other side of the booth and sits down. She places hers hands one on top of the other on the table, her chin is raised and I swear she's looking down her nose at me.

I lift my head up and prop it on my hands, "What?"

"Hmmm I just don't get you Axel Celeste, your emotions are all over the place, why and what are you trying to hide." Lita leans down and mimics my pose with her chin resting on her hands.

"I don't know what you're talking about Fairy."

"I think you do," Lita arches her eyebrow at me.

"Nope not a clue, now if you don't mind I'd like to go back to my pity party."

"If that is what you wish, but it's not, I have been around for a very long time and I do know a thing or two. So you can lie to yourself but you cannot lie to me. You care about the people who as you would say, left you high and dry, but they didn't leave you they just can't stand your mouth. I let the Fairy comment slide this time," I pop my head up.

"And as for Gianna young wolf, if you hurt her you'll have a whole lot of trouble to look forward to, and I don't just mean from her. She is very beloved here, I would keep that in mind, next time you kiss her or try anything more." Lita finishes and gets up to go.

"Wait," I grab her arm to stop her, "OK your right but I've messed up real bad this time, what do I have to do to fix this."

Lita laughs her sing song laugh, "I think you know what to do," Lita looks down at me with that small smile of hers.

I swallow hard knowing what I have do to, "Do you know where I can find her?"
