Klaus liked being in the 1960s with Willow. It was like he was given the chance to have a second life, to start over completely. He was no longer Klaus Hargreeves from The Umbrella Academy. Or Klaus Hargreeves the drug addict. He was Klaus. Just Klaus. And he liked that.

Willow didn't know about his powers. She didn't know about his years of substance abuse. She didn't know that his dead brother's ghost was often lurking around. She didn't know about Dave. She didn't know that was actually from 2019 and not 1960.

And Klaus had thought that he had been able to escape all of those things. He had been there for almost a year now and no one had suspected anything.

Well, that was until she did.

"Can I ask you something?" Willow asked as her and Klaus sat at the edge of the pool, he glanced over at her and smirked.

"You just did" He replied sassily, leaning backwards with his hand extended out onto the ground for support. Willow shoved him slightly at his remake before her face resumed back to the serious expression.

"Ow! I'm kidding. Go ahead Lola" Klaus responded with a chuckle, holding his arm where she had shoved him and rubbing it up and down. Willow glanced at him before looking down at the pool to avoid eye contact.

"Who's Ben?" Willow asked. Klaus froze slightly at the mention of his dead brothers name. He didn't know how she even found out about him.

"Finally I get a mention" Ben commented from across the way of the couple, a proud grin appearing on his face.

"What do you mean?" Klaus asked, trying to act as if he had no idea who or what she was talking about. He thought that he would maybe get away with lying again. But alas, the truth always comes out.

"Ben. You're always talking to empty spaces and you keep saying the name Ben. So who is Ben?" Willow asked again. She was not going to let him get out of this one, and he knew that.

"Well, uh, I-I" Klaus stuttered slightly, not knowing how to get himself out of this one. Willow just looked at him and waited for his answer.

"She's going to think you're crazy" Ben commented for the other side of the pool, low-key proud that she had noticed his presence after all this time.

"You're going to think I'm crazy" Klaus replied and Willow shrugged.

"I already think you're crazy" She responded. Klaus took a breath before thinking about how to phrase it. But when he couldn't find a good way to do so, he just said it like it was.

"Ben is my dead brother" Klaus told her cautiously, he knew that there was no way she was going to believe him.

"What do you mean your dead brother?" Willow asked, furrowing her eyebrows together in confusion, not understanding how he would be able to speak to a dead person.
