"I tried not to upset you, let you rescue me the day I met you.  I just wanted to protect you, but now I'll never get to."

***S.D.K.***

Believe it or not, we were about halfway through marking the beach house as our own by having sex in every room, and it's only been a week.  So far, we hit our bedroom, our bathroom, the balcony, the pool and dining area on the deck, the beach itself, and the couch in the living room.  We have the two guest rooms and their respective bathrooms, the balcony, the roof lounging area, the living room, and the kitchen left to christen before anything else.

The sound of our front door opening and slamming shut caused us to jolt out of our dreamful state.  "Selena Darby, you better be awake!" the familiar shrill voice of my sister shrieked from the first floor.

"Oh, Merlin," I groaned as I rolled out of Remus' loose grasp to get out of bed.  I completely forgot we slept naked together last night after nailing our adjacent bathroom just several hours before waking.  He whined quietly at the loss of contact from my moving away but then turned onto his other side, falling back asleep almost instantly.  "Why is she here?" I asked myself as I checked the clock, moving over to my wardrobe to get dressed for the day.

I jumped--no literally, my feet physically left the ground--at the sound of harsh knocking on our bedroom door.  My head whipped over to Remus who bolted up into a seated position, blankets draped over his waist to hide everything.  "Open the bloody door!" Venus demanded loudly, still beating her fist against the wood.

I slipped on a robe, opening the door just enough to poke my head out as I was tying the ribbon around my waist.  "Why are you here?  You woke him up," I scolded, keeping my voice low so as to not startle my partner anymore.

"Good.  Get him up and moving and then meet us downstairs.  We need to have a little chat, sis," she was fuming.  I couldn't tell why, but I knew it wasn't good seeing as she wasn't wavering on her decision to talk.

I rolled my eyes at her.  "Don't act all high and mighty now since you just graduated from Hogwarts, V.  Give us five minutes, and I promise we'll be down there," I offered, and before she could say anything else, I closed the door in her face.  Turning back, Remus was already on his feet, slipping on his boxers.  "Venus wants to talk to us for a reason she won't tell me yet," I explained to him.

He nodded, sighing and running a palm over his face.  "Did she have to be so aggressive about it?" he mumbled, grabbing a pair of flannel pants to slip on.  He put on his black robe that complimented my white one, slipping his shoes on before walking over to me and kissing me on the forehead.  "Good morning, by the way," he drew out.

"It would be better if we weren't dragged out of bed at," I paused to look at our clock, "eight in the fucking morning!" I hissed in shock.

Remus chuckled at my outrage, his hand finding the small of my back as he led me down to the first floor.  Venus was in the kitchen making coffee for herself and Angelina when she heard my lover and me descending the stairs.  The latter was looking around at the various pictures and plants covering the walls and windows.

"I love what you've done with the place, Professor Knight," she complimented, turning to face me with a grin.

I sent a small, warming smile her way.  "Please, just call me Selena now.  I'm not your professor anymore.  The same goes for Remus," I told her.  Enough with the formalities.

She mirrored my expression, nodding at my suggestion.  "Selena," she repeated, "and Remus, I love what you two have done to the place," she corrected herself, beaming.
