A/N: I suggest listening to "Mia and Sebastians theme" from La La Land for this part.

My fingers glided across the keys as I knitted my eyes shut and let the sound feel my ears. I hadn't played the piano in a while but I adored it. It was an escape from reality, music was a way of expressing feelings into a song.

I glanced down at the keys and watched them sink with every press of my fingertip. The sound filling my my ears and satisfactory taking over me.

I sped up the where my fingers moved on the keys, a smile tugging at my lips with the sound I was playing. It sounded funny as it sped up but I liked it.
Hitting the keys harder a few more times until I hit the last note then ended the song.

Sighing with pleasure I pressed a few more keys randomly and then shut the lid of the piano. Turning my head to gaze out the glass balcony doors, the once-crescent moon now a full one, the reflectance of its light shining onto the balcony seats where the ghost of Alexander and I sat earlier this evening.

I stood from the stool and tucked the seat in, turning on my heal I jumped out of my skin once I saw the figure belonging to Alexander leant up against the door frame.

"I didn't mean to scare you sorry.." Alexander grimaced and I huffed a small laugh, placing a hand on my chest to steady my breaths.

"You play?" He asked me as we left the room and sauntered down the halls, running my fingertips down the walls and carefully bouncing them over large mirrors or picture frames that hung on the walls.

"I did when I was little, guess it sort of just stuck with me I suppose." I said and smiled over at him.

"Brought you this." Alexander said and handed out Bram Stokers 'Dracula' I released my fingertips from the wall and took it in my hand gently.

"Have you finished?" I asked and he nodded.

"Guess I'll read it for the 81st time then." I joked as we neared my bedroom.

"Goodnight Arabella." Alexander jokingly bowed slowly to me and I scoffed a laugh at him causing him to chuckle.

"I might start curtsying to you to see how you like it." I giggled as I pushed open my doors.

"I'll see you tomorrow Alexander, do sleep well." I said with a small smile, he waved at me once more before his shrinking figure headed down the corridor towards his bedroom.

Shutting both my doors I leant up against them and smiled down at the book. Shaking my head from my thoughts I removed my dressing gown and clambered into bed. Letting the warmth of the quilts and covers take over my chilly skin and send me to sleep.

"Mother?" I mumbled as I pushed myself up and pulled my eye mask off.

"How was Archery?" She asked me as she shifted through the clothes in my wardrobe. I rubbed my eyes open and stretched slowly.

"Good, I won." I said.

"As you should." My Mother said and pulled out a black gown with a white slit front from my wardrobe. She held it up to me and I furrowed my brows.

"Your Father and I are taking you out today so come on! Get up get ready." My Mother said as she placed the gown delicately on top of my washbin ready for me to wear today.
