My ears perked up at the sounds of the morning birds chirping right on the roof of the stable.

I stirred in my spot and my eyes fluttered open slowly to adjust to my surroundings, I glanced up to Alexander who's head was back leaning against the wall of the Stable, his eyes knitted shut and mouth parted slightly as little noises and his steady breaths escaped his lips.

Slowly removing his arms from around my torso I shifted forward and stretched, feeling certain bones pop and crack in my body I glanced down and groaned to myself at the fact I'd fallen asleep in my gown.

I quietly made my way down the ladder and headed to the stable door, slowly unlocking it and pushing it open I gazed up at the sun shining down onto my garden. It looked as if it had just risen so I knew it was early.

Taking one last look up at Alexander peacefully resting, I slipped out the doorway.

Keeping my side pressed up to the sides of walls so I stayed out of sight. Making my way across the back garden I came to the kitchen window. Crouching I clasped my fingers onto the window ledge, I hesitantly peered my head further up, my eyes catching onto Jamie and Nick cleaning the kitchen.

I lifted myself up further and glanced around me to check I was in the clear, I also double-checked that the boys were on there own before I lifted my hand to the window pane and tapped my knuckles on it lightly.

Both boys heads shot over and their eyes grew wide, Jamie begun miming something to me, honestly it looked like a load of cuss words but from what I gathered it was "What the fuck are you still doing here?"

Matthew opened the window and glanced behind him quickly before looking back to me.
"Arabella what the hell! You're lucky no ones awake right now.." Matthew whispered as he poked his head out the open window.

"My Mother and Father in bed?" I asked him.

"Your Fathers in bed yes because he can't walk..." Matthew said and I bit back the urge to giggle.

"Mother?" I questioned as I glanced over his shoulder to a very stressed-looking Jamie staring at me.

"She's in bed, I overheard a conversation.." Matthew said quietly.

"Go on.." I gestured with my hand as I spoke.

"Your Father was telling your Mother about how you hit him and shot his foot..." Matthew started, I nodded to signify him to carry on.
"And your parents are now suspecting Alex has some leverage over you and is turning you to be like this...and they want to kill him even more now.." Matthew whispered, my eyes widened slightly and suddenly it became hard to swallow.

"And what about the people you said that were here last night?" I asked him.

"I've overheard their plans, they're heading out at 7:30am to look for you both.." Matthew said quietly.

"What's the time now?" I asked quietly as I leant my elbows onto the window ledge and bit my bottom lip in anticipation.

"Eerrrr...6:45am" Matthew said as he craned his head back to look at the clock.

"You guys are up working early?" I questioned, furrowing my brows, Jamie moved over to the kitchen door to keep guard.

"Yeah they asked us to be up early today incase you or Alex returned." Matthew shrugged.

"Could I ask a favour?" I asked him politely.

"Yeah sure what is it?" Matthew replied.

"Could you get us a bag filled with food and drink please? We're heading off today and it's quite a few hours away to where we're going.." I said quietly.
