~Four. ~

Larissa opened her eyes slowly and she lifted her forehead from her Uncle's bedside. He was covered in a shroud now, but Larissa couldn't remember who had done it. All she remembered was that he had been cleaned and placed where he was and had been covered when she had come to see him again. Her heart was shattered into pieces. She had no one left now. No one from her family left with her. Sure, she had her Aunt, but she was married, and she had her own daughter to think about. Larissa bit back a whimper that was threatening to come out again. Thankfully, with Romulus' help just now, she had managed to calm down and she was no longer causing the entire world to shake. She lifted her head as she heard footsteps approach and she took in a deep breath.

"Come in, Elissa. I won't bite," she said to her maid, who had entered the room cautiously.

"This...This just came for you, Prin...I mean, Your Majesty," Elissa said, and Larissa swallowed heavily before she got to her feet. She was going to need time to get used to that new title.

"What is it?" she asked as she turned to face her maid now.

"A letter, Your Majesty," Elissa replied before she stopped in front of Larissa and held it out to her.

"From whom?" she asked as she accepted the letter and turned it over. She froze when she saw who it had been sent by.

"Your Majesty?" Elissa asked as Larissa's eyes narrowed on the handwriting. She then tore the letter open and read its contents carefully.

Larissa Hathway.

Meet me at your precious barrier's border tomorrow at dawn.

There is something I wish to discuss with you.

Isidore Wade.

P.S. Come alone.

"Is he insane? You are the Queen! There is no way that you'll be able to go alone!" Elissa exclaimed as she read the letter after she had been handed it and Larissa held her hand out for it again. Elissa handed it back to her and Larissa walked away from her maid and her Uncle's covered body. She raised her empty hand as she walked away before she stopped as the air above her palm sparked and a flame appeared. She twirled her fingers some as she turned to face Elissa once more, coaxing the flame to grow bigger as she went.

"Of course, he is insane, Elissa. Look at what he has done. But he is also clever. He is clever enough to get the bandits to form into his own private arm. No doubt for some ridiculous amount of gold, so they will not be loyal to him. They will only be loyal to whomever the highest bidder will be," Larissa explained, still toying with the flame above her palm before she moved the letter over to it and held it over the flame until it ignited itself. Elissa watched her carefully before she spoke up again.

"I know that look...You have a plan...Don't you, Your Majesty?" Elissa said as she walked over to Larissa again as the letter turned to ash in her palm.

"Perhaps...I was just wondering if maybe we should...Perhaps ask the leaders of the bandit groups to a meeting? Say...After I have met with Prince Wade? Although, with the way that he has been acting, he doesn't deserve the title," Larissa said as her eyes narrowed on the flame in her hand.

Larissa watched the flames for a moment before she looked up at Elissa, who was watching her curiously. Larissa raised a brow at Elissa before she closer her hand that had the flame into a fist, extinguishing it. Larissa opened her hand again before she lowered it to her side and turned back to her Uncle. She looked at his still form carefully before she shook her head and looked away from him again and back at Elissa.
