~Seventeen. ~

Several days went by and Larissa still didn't wake. Elissa began to worry, and she bit down on her lip as she paced in front of Larissa's bedroom, wringing her hands as she waited for Rosaleen to come as she had sent for her. She knew that the Professor had said to not let anyone into Larissa's wing of the palace, but it had been several days since Larissa had fallen into her deep sleep. Elissa was beginning to worry. Hearing hurried footsteps coming towards her, Elissa turned around to see Rosaleen hurrying towards her.

"I came as quickly as I could, Elissa. Tell me what happened," Rosaleen said as Elissa opened the doors to Larissa's room and led her inside. She gave Rosaleen the story of what had happened and what Professor Strickland had done as she set herself up beside Larissa's sleeping form as she stirred slightly.

"The Professor said that it was just a sleeping draught. She should have woken up days ago..." Elissa said in a worried voice and Rosaleen sat beside Larissa as she looked at her.

"That would have depended entirely on just how exhausted her body actually was," Rosaleen said as she began her examination of Larissa as she slept.

"What do you mean, Lady Cooper?" Elissa asked cautiously.

"Well...from what I can see...There is nothing wrong with Her Majesty except for how little energy I can sense in her. It's slowly growing but I don't know how long it is going to take for it to become full again. Hopefully, it will only be a few more days," Rosaleen explained as Larissa stirred slightly before she turned her head away from the pair and fell still again.

"And if it is more than a couple of days?" Elissa asked once she was sure Larissa was calm again.

"Hopefully, we won't get to that. She is still eating, yes?" Rosaleen asked as she searched through her things for something.

"She is. Estella has bene making her the nourishment soups so that when she does eventually wake, she will still have some energy," Elissa replied, watching curiously as Rosaleen found what she was looking for and pulled out a small, clear vial with a purple liquid inside. She then turned to Elissa and held it out to her.

"Add two drops of this to each bowl before you give her the soups from now on. This will help her regain her energy faster and wake up quicker," Rosaleen explained as Elissa accepted the vial.

"Yes, Lady Cooper," Elissa said as she bowed her head and Rosaleen stood up.

"If she doesn't wake up in the next...Two days, have someone come and find me," Rosaleen said as she packed her things up before she bowed to Elissa and left the room.

A few days later, Larissa groaned as she slowly began to wake up. Her head was pounding angrily, and her entire body felt as if it had been trampled by stampeding horses. She slowly opened her eyes before she let out a sigh as she carefully and slowly sat up.

"Your Majesty!" She heard Elissa's voice and she looked towards her as she rushed over. "Your Majesty! What are you doing?" she heard Elissa call out before she felt her hands on her shoulders.

"Sitting up?" Larissa said as she looked at Elissa and her maid helped her sit up with her pillows piled behind her.

"How are you feeling?" Elissa asked Larissa once she had made sure that Larissa was comfortable, and she moved back slightly to sit on the bed beside her.

"Like my bruises have bruises. How long was I asleep?" Larissa asked as she closed her eyes for a moment before she opened them again and looked at Elissa.
