~Ten. ~
Romulus and Lizbeth sat in the front most row of the chairs that had been set up in the throne room. He was talking with his sister about what she was going to do to help Larissa when she stayed behind to help her out after the coronation. The Priest was speaking with the other members of the church as they all waited for Larissa to come into the room. The musicians were playing a lively tune, just loud enough to be heard over the chattering of voices of the guests in the room. A few moments later, the musicians stopped playing and the throne room fell silent. The next second, trumpets sounded and the doors to the throne room opened and Larissa walked into the room.
No one was prepared for the vision of power that Larissa was when she walked into the room. Dressed in a beautiful dress made from a combination of a silk underskirt with a tulle overskirt, it was floor length and coloured in a dark grey. The top was made from suede-like material with sleeves made from a similar material went down to just above her elbows. Attached to the shoulders was tulle which flowed to the floor as well, with a split made from where the suede sleeves ended, enabling her to use her hands. Along the sleeves and at the waist, were flowers made from the same material as the dress. At the back, where the dress was held together, it was held together and done up with a thick, silk ribbon in crossed straps, coming to an end in a bow at the base of the top.
Romulus felt a light touch to his chin, and he looked towards his sister as she grinned at him. He quickly closed his mouth and stood up with the rest of the people gathered as Larissa began to walk down the aisle between the seats and towards the throne where the Priest and the rest of the church were waiting. One of the altar boys was standing beside the Priest, holding a large cushion in his small hands and upon the cushion, sat the Hathway Queen's crown.
The crown itself, which was made from a sturdy, yet flexible and pliable metal, stood out against the maroon colour of the cushion. It was decorated with hundreds of diamonds clear or white crystals and rhinestones, with a single teardrop shaped diamond, about the size of a large grape, sitting in its centre. Its design was intricate and delicate and looked exactly like something that only a Queen would wear.
Larissa eventually reached the throne, and she lifted the front of her dress so that she could walk up the steps. Once she reached the top, she turned around to face those that were gathered as one of the members of the church placed the Royal sceptre in her right hand and the Royal orb in her left as she stood there. The Priest then picked up the crown from the cushion and moved over to stand beside Larissa, the crown held high in the air before he began to speak.
"Is Your Majesty prepared to take the Oath?" the Priest asked, and Larissa stood up straighter, looking ahead of her.
"I am," she replied in a strong voice. The Priest gave a nod of his head before he continued.
"Will you solemnly promise and swear to govern the Peoples of the Hathway Kingdom and its surrounding lands as well as your Possessions and other Territories belonging or pertaining to them according to their laws and customs?" the Priest asked as Larissa took a knee, her head still held high.
"I solemnly swear so to do," she replied.
"Will you, with what is within your power, cause Law and Justice, in Mercy, to be executed in all of your judgements?" he asked.
"I will."
"And will you, to the best of your abilities, swear to be Fair and Just in all your decisions? And promise to seek and listen to the advice given to you by your chosen council?" the Priest asked.
