~Fourteen. ~
Larissa groaned as Elissa threw open the curtains. She raised an arm to cover her eyes as Elissa moved and tied one of the curtains in place before she moved to the other side and did the same thing. Larissa turned her head away from the window as Romulus groaned as well, burying his face in Larissa's neck to shield his eyes from the light.
"Rise and shine, Your Majesty. Your Imperial Majesty. You both have work you need to do today and sleeping all day is not part of it," Elissa said as she turned to face the two monarchs who were still lying in bed. Larissa sighed and lowered her arm from her eyes, turning her head towards Elissa with a scowl.
"Sometimes, Elissa...Not often...But sometimes I hate how efficient you are at your job," Larissa said with a groan as she sank back into the pillows and Elissa smiled at her.
"You're welcome, Your Majesty, but the flattery will not get me to go away and allow you both to sleep in," Elissa said to her as she walked over to the wardrobe to get an outfit ready for Larissa for her day. She sighed again and closed her eyes before she turned to Romulus as he shifted to lie on his back. He turned his head to look at Larissa before he smiled and moved up to kiss her gently.
"Good morning," he said to her as he pulled back and she smiled at him gently, raising a hand to move some of his hair out of his eyes.
"Good morning," she said to him in return before she chuckled as he kissed her again sweetly.
"Mhm!" she said as she pulled back, her forehead resting against his as her eyes closed. "I have to get up," she said as she opened her eyes and looked at him. He sighed before he gave another long and deep kiss.
"I know. My sister is no doubt looking for me to go through some business before I return home," he said with a sigh and Larissa gently cupped his cheek, running her fingers over the stubble that he now left there.
"You'll write to me?" she asked him as he looked up at her before he reached up, taking her hand in his. He gently kissed the back of it before he looked up at her again.
"I promise," he said, and they both smiled at one another. Romulus leant up and he rested his forehead against hers, both closing their eyes.
They stayed like that until Elissa came out of the wardrobe, Larissa's outfit for the day draped over her arm. She placed it over the back of the chair in front of the bureau before she picked up Romulus' shirt from where it had ended up on the floor. As he got up, reluctantly, she held it out to him, and he nodded his head in thanks as he took it from her. He looked over at Larissa as she sat up and gave her a smile.
"Until next time...Your Majesty," he said as he placed a hand over his chest and bowed to her. Larissa chuckled at him before she did the same thing from where she sat on the bed.
"Your Imperial Majesty," she said in return before Romulus left as they both laughed.
Elissa chuckled softly as Larissa stretched where she sat on her bed before she fell back onto her pillows again. Elissa walked over and sat down on the bed beside Larissa as she sighed.
"I'm going to assume that you enjoyed your first night in your new wing, Your Majesty?" Elissa asked Larissa, a knowing smile on her lips as Larissa chuckled. She then sat up and looked at Elissa as she went.
"I did," Larissa said before she moved to get up. Elissa moved out of the way before she helped Larissa into her outfit for the day.
"Is Tristan ready?" Larissa asked as Elissa brushed Larissa's hair before she began braiding it.
