Chapter 2: You May Become The Wife Of Bjorn Ironside Soon

Porrun's Point Of View
I've been told by my father that Bjorn Ironside is looking for a wife, though Bjorn may not of heard of me but I have heard of him many times before, I heard that his killed a bear with his bare hands, he lived in the mountains during the winter with only the clothes on his back and his axe and knife nothing more. He got the name Ironside by fighting in his first raid to England with his father who is a King now, Bjorn was not touched by a spear, axe or blade that day so he got the name Ironside, ever since that day his been Bjorn Ironside not Lothbrok or Ragnarsson but Ironside.

When father first told me of the news that I could be marrying Bjorn I was not happy till I though about the fact that if I where to marry him then I would be a Queen one day, I would have more power then everyone but Bjorn, no one would be able to tell me no while now I'm only an Earls Daughter not many will listen to me unless it's my father's order though I've heard of a Princess Torvi who's father's men look to her for guidance and she has quite the reputation, whether it be on the battle field or how she helps her father rule, she gives everyone a chance to tell their side of the story before choosing if they are guilty or not. Many say she's almost as good of a fighter as Lagertha and that she will not marry unless she loves the guy, though if her brothers or father needed her to something she would do it without a word. Her father is an ally of King Ragnar Lothbrok and Queen Lagertha Lothbrok, which means that she's known Bjorn for years.

Bjorn would not be that bad to marry, I could live with it all that I need to do is bare his children nothing more of me and they need to be sons, I could do that.

Ingrid's Point Of View
My father has told me of the news that Bjorn Ironside is looking for a wife and that he wishes for me to marry him and become the next Queen of Kattegat so our family has more sway over the people. Part of me thinks that this is a bad idea while another part of me is telling me that I could do it because all I would have to do is give him a son nothing more. But I've also heard word that his childhood best friend's sister is going to be offered to him as well and I've been told that I'm beautiful but I've met Princess Torvi once before and she is the whole package she is kind, beautiful, smart, good with children, strong, a shield maiden and born as the daughter of a King and not just any King but King Harald Fine Hair who became King to get the attention of a woman who did not wish to marry him yet he found the a woman to give him children in the end he may not of got the girl but he got the whole fucking kingdom.

I have met Bjorn Ironside once but the time that was, was also the time that I met Princess Torvi. I will never forget it, Princess Torvi was buying bread at the markets only to take it to the children who have lost their parents due to the Summer raids. Bjorn Ironside was watching her with so much love that I know if she is up for grabs then he will wish to marry her though I am not sure if Princess Torvi wishes to marry him seeing as she poured a jug of water over him then left though I do not know what was said to make that happen and I'm sure that I will never know. But I do know that there is no hope for anyone if Princess Torvi is one of the brides he gets to pick from, Bjorn Ironside will only marry someone who his sister and mother like so if Queen Lagertha and Princess Gyda don't like you then you might as well go home.

Princess Sneafrid's Point Of View
I've seen Bjorn Ironside once he has blonde hair and ocean blue eyes, though his eyes where darker they where watching someone with blonde hair which was in a braid, she had an orange dress on and Bjorn Ironside looked as if he wished to have her for a wife so I'm guessing that she does not love him the way he loves her, that is why Bjorn Ironside is looking for a bride. I do not know if I wish to marry Bjorn Ironside because all I know of him is that he can fight and that his a blue eyed blonde hair and is the size of a bear. It's like most other men just they are not always the size of bears and could not kill a bear with only their hands and an axe. He is the next King, Bjorn Ironside and my father wishes for me to be his Queen. I will try though it is up to him, to if he picks me or one of the other women who's father would wish for them to marry a future King.

Gunnhild's Point Of View
I've been told by my father that he wishes for me to marry Bjorn Ironside, the next King of Kattegat. Though I wish to meet Erik The Red his the friend of Bjorn Ironside and Halfdan The Black the next two kings, the only two royal families left in Norway besides Princess Snaefrid Of The Sami's and her family there is only three left.

I've heard not much of Halfdan The Black and more of his younger sister, Torvi Princess Of The Danes. She's a respected shield maiden, shes famous for her kindness and the fact that she's willing to hear both sides to every story whether she wishes to or not. I've heard that she's beautiful and smart, as well as having many of men who are loyal to her not her father or brother but her. Which I would say is good seeing as men do not take kindly to having a woman in a place of power but everybody seems happy to let her take control over things and by the way the raids have been going I do not think that anyone will be happy when she is to marry and have children.

Princess Elsewith's Point Of View
I'm a English princess though my father wishes for me to marry Prince Bjorn Ironside though I do not wish to marry a paragon. Though Prince Alfred needs a wife so hopefully I will be able to marry him not Bjorn Ironside. I've heard that their is only three princess left in Norway. Snaefrid of the Sami, Gyda of Kattegat and the most famous out of all is Torvi. Gyad is the only daughter of Queen Lagertha and King Ragnar Lothbrok. I do not wish to be near these paragons or Northman they do not believe in God they have false Gods.

Princess Torvi's Point Of View
"Torvi you are going to be offered to Bjorn as his wife, you would rather be his wife then someone like Jarl Borg or Earl Kalf, would you not?" My father told me as we where sitting at the table in our great hall.

"You wish for me to marry Bjorn, Why?" I asked knowing that Father has always wished for me to marry and have children though his never said anything not before now.

"Yes I do, I wish for you to marry him because I know that he will treat you right and it's to late I've already told Lagertha and Ragnar of this and they said yes. His got a few interested in being his bride there is Porrun an Earls daughter, Ingrid an Earls daughter, Snaefrid a daughter of a King, Gunnhild daughter of an Earl, a Princess from England wishes to marry Bjorn to and then there is you." My father told me before going down to the tables to talk with our people.

I have not heard any of them people before now though I'm guessing Bjorn would be loving the attention that he will get form the ladies, and seeing as they wish to marry him he will be more full of him self then he usually is. I can't wait to be offered up to Bjorn Ironside as his bride hopefully he will pick one of the others because all Bjorn does when we raid together is try and show off though I do not wish to be married to a man who will show off to anyone to make him feel good about himself. His a good man and I love his mother, sister and youngest brother he is a loveable man and he can be kind and gentle though I like that side of him I do not wish to marry a man who does not treat me right and if I am to marry Bjorn and he does not treat me well I will leave him, whether he is the next King or not.

Prince Bjorn's Point Of View
"So my son you have six fathers giving you their daughters hand in marriage." My father told me before my mother and siblings listened in wishing to know who I will get the choice of and probably telling me who they like most.

"And who would they be?" I asked knowing that Father would wish for me to ask.

"Well theirs Porrun a Earl's daughter, Ingrid the daughter of an Earl, Gunnhild another daughter of an Earl, there is Princess Snaefrid of the Sami people, ohh... you have a English Princess wishing to marry you her name is Elsewith and then I think that this will be the one you wish to marry. Princess Torvi Of The Danes daughter Of King Harald Fine Hair and sister of Prince Halfdan The Black the woman loved by may and has changed the way women are treated in all of her father's land. Personally I wish for you to marry Torvi but who am I to judge you." My father told me only for Gyda and Ivar to say,

"If you are not married to Torvi then I do not wish to know you anymore, brother." Then they where gone and Ubbe started talking,

"You are not going to marry Torvi because I wish to marry her wait does she have any friends?"

"Ubbe shut up we all wish for Bjorn to marry Torvi you will find someone just not Torvi." Mother said before they all left me alone in the Great Hall to think.

I already knew who I wished to marry though I know it's going to take a lot to get her to wish to marry me. I've always been in love with her since we where children and now I may be able to marry her though I do not wish to marry someone who does not wish to be in the marriage or else it will never work and I don't wish to have many wives because one the only amount that I need.
