Enjoy, lovelies x

Louis' P.O.V.

After some words of encouragement and lots of sympathy, Paul dropped me off outside the coffee shop where I was supposed to meet Eleanor. I walked through the door and little bells jingled. Cute! Before I could even look around a shrill voice cut me off.

"Lou! Over here!"

I turned my head towards the voice and saw Eleanor sitting at a table right in front of the window. Great. All the paps could clearly see us. I had no doubt she did that on purpose.

I weakly smiled back as I made my towards the table and took the seat opposite her.

"You look great," she smiled.

"Um, thanks. You too," I tried to be polite. Deciding to just be upfront, I asked, "Why are you faking this whole thing?"

"W-what do you mean?" She responded, clearly trying to seem unbothered.

"When I first met you, you told me you were gay. You said you didn't want to be doing this. So why are you suddenly so happy about the whole situation?"

"I-I'm not gay," she said quietly.

"Yes, you are," I crossed my arms defiantly.

"Fine!" Eleanor exclaimed. "But you can't tell anyone. Please," she said, desperation in her eyes.

"Um, okay."

"It's Simon," she breathed out. "He- he threatened me. Said if I don't make everyone believe I'm really in love with you he would end my modeling career. He even said he would make sure I would never be with my girlfriend again," she added sadly.

"What?" I was taken aback. "Why would he do that?"

"I don't know! But I love my girlfriend more than anything in this world and I would do anything to be with her. I'm really sorry," Eleanor said. "I hope the boys can forgive me as well."

"I'm sure they will," I nodded. "Just- can we just be friends? Please? And we only have to pretend to date around the paps and Simon?"

Eleanor let out a breath. "Yes. Okay, yes. But- you can't let Simon know I told you!"

"I won't," I promised. I felt much better about the situation now that I knew Eleanor was actually a nice person. Maybe, just maybe, I could fake date her for a few months.

After our talk, we ordered some coffee and a few pastries to share. We chatted for about ten more minutes before I noticed some flashing right next to us. I looked towards the window and sure enough, four paps were snapping photos of us left and right. I sighed and looked back at Eleanor.

"Well, let's do this," she murmured before plastering on a giant smile similar to the one she wore in our meeting with Simon. I did the same and the next five minutes were very odd as I laughed over-exaggeratingly at anything and everything she said and she did the same to me.

I was worn out by the time our "date" was finished, and when I checked the time I saw an hour and fifteen minutes had already passed. Great. I spent forty-five minutes longer at this date than I even had to, and all because of those stupid paps who wouldn't leave us alone.

Quickly I said goodbye to Eleanor and we parted ways after walking out the back door. Realizing I told Paul I didn't need him to drive me home, I pulled out my phone and ordered an Uber (idk if there are ubers in london lol).

It was only around five minutes before the car I had ordered pulled up on the street in front of me. I gave them a quick wave and walked over to the car before opening the door and climbing into the passenger seat. Rarely did I ever have someone drive me who wasn't Paul, so when I did I liked to sit in the passenger seat so I could get to know them.
