Harry's P.O.V.
"Oh my god, shit!" Liam exclaimed, staring at his phone with wide eyes before jumping up and frantically looking around at the rest of us.
"What? What happened?" Zayn asked, his eyes full of concern as he watched Liam spluttering.
"The interview! The fucking interview, oh my god. Bloody hell, we're going to be late! Get your asses off the floor and out the door right now, go!" Liam practically screamed.
Zayn's and Niall's eyes widened as they realized they were ten minutes later than planned and they scrambled to stand up and find their phones and other belongings while I waited for Louis to get up. I couldn't exactly stand up with a koala on me.
But Louis just turned to me with a smirk on his face, his eyes glistening with mischief and reflecting the sun coming in through the window, making his eyes brighter and a paler blue than normal.
"Looks like Daddy Directioner's back," Louis smirked before jumping up from the sofa with his now empty plate. He dragged me off the sofa as well with his free hand and I stumbled over my feet, trying to regain my balance.
It felt like somebody had pressed fast-forward in the apartment because all of a sudden Louis' plate was gone and he was throwing wallets, keys, phones, and other random objects at everyone while we struggled to throw on our coats and get out the door.
But the panic didn't stop once we finally reached outside. I spotted Paul a few yards away, waiting next to a black car.
"Guys," I called out to mainly Liam who was frantically looking around for where to go. "He's over there," I barely managed to say before the other four dashed past me in the direction of Paul. Louis, sensing I was slightly confused about all the sudden running and panicking, grabbed my hand on his way past me and pulled me after him.
"There you lads are!" Paul exclaimed as we ran up to him, panting. "You can explain to me in the car why you're late. But for right now, you need to get in!"
Liam hastily slid into the passenger's seat while Zayn climbed into the backseat. Niall followed and I sat in the last seat, looking up at Louis who stood on the sidewalk, pouting because there was no room for him.
"Oi, you big baby," I laughed and pulled him into the car and onto my lap. He simply let out a surprised squeak and I laughed harder at him as Paul shut the door behind him and raced around the car to the driver's seat.
"I am not a baby," Louis pouted, turning his head so he could see me.
I grinned and shook my head, loving how easy it was to banter and joke around with Louis.
"Remember that the next time you throw a fit over eating an avocado on toast for breakfast," I teased.
"They're slimy and mushy and it feels like I'm eating rotten baby puke," Louis whined.
I shook my head again with a fond smile at my best mate's adorableness, realizing that Louis was just very, very special and unique in his own way.
Paul started the car suddenly and accelerated sharply, causing Louis to slide almost all the way off my lap with a squeal before I realized what was happening and pulled him back. I slipped my arms around his waist to prevent him from falling off again.
"Hey guys, guess what?" Niall said, staring at his phone, loud enough for Liam to hear from the front of the car.
"What?" I asked.
