Pre-Re-Read: I HATE KARA!! She went to the Sleeper 👿. She tried to break Aruden too! AND she was annoying through the book, pretending to be Little Miss Perfect. I'm sending Kidnapper after her after he's done with the Sleeper. I like the Tree of Wishes more because Rudy is such a better character than Kara and Kara kept forgetting Aru existed!
Post-Re-Read: Zamn. Kara definitely has some bad traits, but she really tries to be a good person. Through Roshani Chokshi's spectacular character development, we can see a decent amount of growth as a person in Kara from the beginning to the end of the book. She is a caring person that's just wanted to fit in. I think some of the blame for her unattractive traits can go towards her lost memories and lack of social exposure, though she as a person does naturally have good and bad traits just as any other human being.
