Birthday

I was scrolling through my notes then I saw this. 😅 It would be a waste of I didn't share this to you guys. I was supposed to upload this during Soo Hyun's birthday but things happen and I had to take a break.

So here it is.

Today was supposed to be a happy day for him. It's his 33rd birthday. His friends and colleagues already greeted him.

He spent his day on his mom's house. It was the best. The food. His deep talks with his mother about life and career. He misses it.

It's already night

but he feels so empty.

It's been three months since Yea Ji and him broke up.

He's on his bed. Looking at their pictures together.

They dated at the middle of shooting It's okay to not be okay.

But as soon as they both became busy and they barely see each other, Yea Ji decided to break up with him.

"I'm sorry. But I realized still have to achieve my own goals."

"I can't love you now."

"You're too high, Soo Hyun. I feel like I don't deserve you at all."

"Thank you for making me feel loved when we were together. I will always remember it. Goodbye."

Her words are still living in his mind. Every time he sees her picture, his coffee mugs in his kitchen, his t shirts she has worn, he just let out a sad smile.

Sometimes he's wondering, if he became a normal actor will they still be together?

What if they are not actors.

"I miss you, Seo Yea Ji." he whispered as he scan his gallery.

He just staring at his phone. Tears falling in his cheeks.

He sigh and is about to put it down when her name popped up.

A year have passed and it's his 34th birthday right now.

He got surprised to see the news.

"Seo Yea Ji spotted dating with his rumored non celebrity boyfriend"

The news attached with a picture of Yea Ji smiling wearing a cap in a coffee shop. He wasn't sure if it's edited or not.

There's still no confirmation from their agency.

He gets ready for bed and get his phone.

then he remembered her text last year.

He nervously tap the unseen message from her.

"To my best partner, happy birthday. I really can't believe that I got the privilege of knowing and loving you even if it was just for a short time. From here on, I will choose to remember the good times because you are still worth that. Once again, Happy birthday. From the bottom of my heart, please be happy."

Just because two people didn't end up together, doesn't mean it was a failed relationship.

He smiled as he reads her message. Minutes passed he received another message from her.

"Happy birthday! Same wish as last year, please be happy because I am."

Soo Hyun types his reply with a genuine smile "I am happy because you are happy."
