"I forgot that my suspension ends today. My boss called me and I need to go back to our form tomorrow. I'm-- I'm really sorry, Tae Young ah." she explained, the two of them planned a trip to her father's hometown but it turned out she couldn't go.
"Why didn't you say it beforehand?" he asked
"I forgot. I'm sorry. I just remembered when my boss called me last night."
He sigh "I don't know, Jae Yi ah." he replied
"Don't be mad." she said
"I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed. I planned this trip but--"
"We can still go but not tomorrow." she stated "If you're worried about the money then I'll---"
"It's not about the money!" he raised her voice which made her surprised.
He rubs his hand on his face and look at her who's about to cry. He sigh frustratedly and walks towards her.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to raise my voice." he pulled her to gave her a hug "I'm sorry." she said
"It's okay. Like you've said we can still go next time."
"Are you going to spend the night here?" he asked, still hugging her. He felt her shakes her head. He sigh in defeat, he doesn't know why he already misses her right now.
"I'll miss you." he said
"It's weird seeing you this clingy. But, I'll miss you too."
"Work hard, okay? Don't punch some guys unless they deserve it." he stated while holding her cheeks.
She laughs and gave him a peck.
It's almost midnight. Tae Young is in his office waiting for Jae Yi's call. He sigh "Are lawyers that busy?" he thought
"I miss you." he said as he scrolls his gallery. He has a lot of candid photos of her.
Then a number popped up in his screen. Disappointed to see it's not from Jae Yi.
"Why?"
"Mr. Jang, Seo Jun's throwing a fit in our bar right now."
"What? Text me the branch.I'll go there." he stands up and get his key.
"Ughhh." Jae Yi grunts after finishing tons of papers. "I'm hungry." she mumbled as she rests her head on the desk. She checked her phone but there was no call or text from Tae Young.
