It wasn't long before me and Regis got married and then six months later I gave birth to our daughter.
I waited until Noctis turned sixteen before I decided to go back out into the line of fire.
"Are you sure that you must go?" Regis asked as he held our daughter.
"Drautos asked for my help, and I can't leave him to fend for himself." I said as I leaned up and gently kissed him.
I kissed our daughter's forehead and then hugged Noctis goodbye.
"I love you." I said softly.
"Love you more." Noctis said as I walked away.
It had been awhile since I had been on the battle field and it felt weird. Like normal I had Nyx next to me and Drautos barking orders in my ear.
"Mar! I need you to go to the west gate." Drautos ordered.
"On it." I said as I took off.
I warped to the gate and saw that it was nearly opened. I jumped down and swiftly took the deamons out. I heard my name be called and turned to late to see one come up behind me. I let out a gasp as I felt a sword go through my chest.
"Mar!" Nyx yelled as I was thrown into the wall.
I let out a groan as I slid down the wall. I held my chest and tried to stop the bleeding.
"The Queen is down! I repeat! Mar is down!" Nyx yelled into his com.
I let out a groan as he moved my hand.
"You're gonna be okay, stay with me." Nyx said softly.
"Tell... tell Reg I love him." I said softly.
"You can tell him yourself." He said as he tore his sleeve off.
He pressed it to my wound and looked around.
"Protect Noct.... please... he's... our only hope." I said as my eyes started to flutter shut.
"Mar! Mar!" Nyx yelled.
Everything went dark and it would be a couple years before Noctis would see me again. I stood beside him and gently touched his shoulder as he held his father's sword in front of him.
"Mom... father.... be with me." He said as he closed his eyes.
"I shall always be with you." I said as I smiled down at him.
I watched as Lunafreya walked up to him. He sent her a smile as she set beside him. She turned to look behind him and I nodded my head. I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned my head to see Regis.
"Time to go." He said softly.
I nodded my head and took one more look at Noctis before leaving with Regis.
