Lavinia Matthews hadn't known what to expect from her visit to the Hospital Wing of Hogwarts, perhaps she had been expecting to find a confused matron and a few sickly teenagers, not to have said Matron overjoyed at her presence. Lavinia hadn't a clue where Dumbledore had sourced the hair for the polyjuice potion but she was pleased with the pretty brunette body she wore and was even more pleased with the nurses outfit the matron had shoved into her arms.

The no-nonsense nurse seemed to be the only person Lavinia had come across who knew who she was and still dared to order her to do something and Lavinia was grateful for it. The woman called her 'Cora', not even mentioning her true name, where she had come from or why she was there. She did not even question how experienced Lavinia was or that she had no notable qualifications, whatever Dumbledore had told the matron-- she was working on a need-to-know basis.
"It's about time I got sent an assistant, they've had me working here, doing everything, curing idiotic students for three decades, can you believe it? And they're only now sending me an assistant," the woman scoffed, making her rounds around the room with Lavinia in tow. The only reason why she knew that woman knew who she was was that she had said so in the very beginning. 'I know who you are but forget about that for now, you are Cora Hastings, from St Mungo's, here to help at a busy time,' and that was all. It didn't matter that Lavinia was only there to gather information on Umbridge's barbarian tactics-- she was now there to work and help and she wasn't upset about it.
"I am glad I can be of use," Lavinia smiled, following the matron to a bed where a sickly looking first year was lying, groaning to himself.
"Beginning of the year, all the students are back, able to use magic again after a long summer, learning new spells in their classes. It's a recipe for absolute disaster. Not to mention all these students in the same space again after so long apart, the diseases they must have brought with them," she tsked in return, ignoring what Lavinia had said and directing her to another sickly student. Sighing to herself, resigned to the fact that she was liking not going to get any important information from that day, she took to playing the role of a nurse.
