Is this really happening? No, it was just a dream. But they’re standing right in front of me. I could touch them right now, if I wanted too. Of course I want to. Step a little closer. I walked towards them slowly, to make sure my eyes weren’t failing me. My eyes widened as my brain confirmed that I was, indeed, in the presence of R5. Tori looked back and forth from me to R5, and back to me. She obviously did not recognize them. My fangirl feelings were reaching a peak now and I let out an ear-pitching scream. “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! It’s R5!” My face broke into a smile and I jumped up and down in front of Tori.

“Who?” Tori still didn’t know who they were.

“R5! I went to their concert on Saturday, that’s why I cancelled our shopping!”

“For them? Aww, I was looking forward to shopping with you too.”

“Sorry” I said between giggles and jumps. I ran closer to them and I asked, “Oh my gosh, are you really R5? I mean, like, is this really happening? I’m just dreaming right? This is just a dream right? Tell me oh my gosh! Is this really happening?”

Ross’s face broke out into a smile and he said, “Yea it is. This is reality.” He laughed at the sight of me clasping my face in shock and the sound of my muffled screams.

"We're not going to hurt you!" Ratliff put on a worried expression, the kind you see in movies, you know?

"Don't worry babe, I got you." Rocky said dramatically as he put a hand on my shoulder.

I stifled a giggle and said as dramatically as he had, "I feel so safe when you're here." and I put my hand on top of his. What was I doing? How could I be so social and...and...fun around them? How am I doing this? How am I so social?

We looked at a point in the sky and dramatically stared together. “We’ll be together, forever.” Rocky said as he diverted his gaze back to me. We stared at each other in the eyes and held each other’s hands. Around us, Rydel couldn’t control her laughter and Ratliff joined into our little improv session. “No, back foe! She’s mine!” Ratliff said as he jumped into a fencing stance. “Yah!” He yelled as he pointed an imaginary sword at Rocky.

“Lies, the maiden is mine!” and Rocky and Ratliff broke into an invisible sword fight. I couldn’t control my giggles and Rydel laughing at the scene wasn’t helping me control them either. Ross snuck into our improv scene and swooped me off my feet. He carried me and half ran, half galloped away. “My knight in shining armor!” I gasped and shouted. I was still laughing when Rocky and Ratliff stopped their imaginary sword fight to chase after the galloping Ross.

“My fair maiden! Come back to me!” Rocky yelled out in between laughs.

“That’s my maiden, you nincompoop!” Ratliff yelled back at Rocky. He pretended to throw a punch at Rocky, who swung his arm around Ratliff’s neck and pretended to choke him. “Alas, I am victorious!” Rocky yelled, throwing a fist in the air.

“None of you are victorious ‘cuz I’ve got the fair maiden!” Ross shouted with a smile. I was still in his arms. Oh my gosh, his arms. Rocky burst into laughter as Ratliff pretended to collapse onto the ground. We all burst into laughter as Rocky put on an expression of exaggerated shock on his face. The laughter filled the lonely, empty streets of New York, and we couldn’t stop laughing.
