A couple days later
"God you're so fucking cringy" Y/n uttered, staring at her neatly printed letter confessing her feelings to Albedo.
She spent the entire night in the same spot of Albedo's apartment complex rewriting each sentence until it was perfect.
She did have her doubts on the whole 'perfect' exaggeration but it was good enough to save her the embarrassment of writing him a terrible letter he'd possibly never understand considering how messy her handwriting had been at her first attempt.
It had paragraphs and paragraphs of her explaining her fear of losing him, the fear that one day he'd leave her alone with all the memories they've created together throughout the time they'd recently reunited.
Y/n had written all her thoughts and feelings on paper, it was terrifying.
She didn't wanna ruin the friendship they already had, it was a bond unlike any other.
She's never felt so close to someone as much as she did with Albedo.

'What is this?' Albedo wrote down in his sketchbook, staring at the square shaped envelope with great concern. His eyebrow raised at the formal, almost perfectly done, baby blue bow wrapped around the center.
It was unusual for a letter, although he never had many expectations when receiving gifts from his childhood airhead of a friend..
Y/n was always a strange one growing up...
He could appreciate the effort, quite weird, quite simple.. but pretty at the matter.
"A letter, you can read it any time you like, but it should be soon" Y/n dropped it on the page of his sketchbook and Albedo smiled for a second before closing and placing it on his bedside table where an empty mug of dried coffee stains sat lone on top of a book Albedo had yet to finish.
He watched a deep blush spread across her face, she frowned at the letter in fear of his reaction for when he decides to comply with his curiosity and read it for himself.
Fuck- will he ever read it?
"Just read it soon ok?" Y/n mentioned, a clear, painful look on her face, showing the obvious discomfort she had faced with him setting the letter aside.
Her hands fidgeted tensely with themselves, frequently stealing glances around the room.
Albedo started decorating the walls himself with sketches and paintings of several items and landscaping he could either see or remember from memory.
Y/n was so focused on the walls that she hadn't noticed Albedo lightly sketching a small portrait of her back in his sketchbook.
His hands shook tremendously, Albedo frowning when he messed up on her jaw.
Though usually he'd find it funny, it took Y/n by surprise when she found the man in a frustrated state, unable to cope with his uncontrollable hands.
She sat down nervously on a spare chair that was pulled up to the hospital bed.
As she watched him, tears were threatening her stinging eyes even more than usual.
It wasn't anything she could control, like Albedo's failure to, Y/n was, too, affected by his unwelcome actions.
And so with a shaky sigh and a close of her eyes, Y/n let the tears fall down her cheeks, her shoulders lowered along with her energy.
Albedo's eyes locked onto her own, as they peered down at the bedsheets.
He cared not for his hands, but for his drawing.
Seeing Y/n let go in his presence felt like a breath of fresh air after decades of being wrapped head to toe with cellophane.
It made him feel as if he too, could himself relax with her at his side.
He smiled and continued the sketch, letting
Y/n cry herself to exhaustion. He knew she was tired.. especially when there was hardly ever time to sleep when he now had the power to get up on his own with the walkers the hospital gifted him.
Y/n treated him like a helpless old man, and although the lazy days of laying in bed scrolling through his own phone were relaxing and heavenly, he couldn't help but feel pitied.
'You're pretty even when you cry' Albedo wrote on the sidelines of the paper, finishing the sketch with terribly drawn tears on her face.
Y/n chuckled softly, her head in her hands as she buried her fingers deep into her hair.
She was hunched over in her chair, her locks dangling and blocking Albedo a clear view of her face.
Slowly, Y/n sat back up straight, taking a perfectly sharpened pencil from the bedside table.
'Don't be weird'
Albedo rolls his eyes, his hands now focused as he wrote a witty comeback at her, something about how she's 'literally the one who wrote him a letter'.
"Fine! Don't read it then!" He seemed to agitate her with the comeback as she begins yelling verbally instead of writing.
Sitting back in her chair, she let her arms and legs cross as Albedo fought the urge to laugh out loud to save him from the pain.
Lightly, he breathed out with frequent coughs as he tried his best not to give in.
Y/n was amused at his determination, so to keep herself from smiling, she began chewing on the insides of her mouth.
The back of her head seemed to die by itself, yearning so deeply to hear his laugh once again.
Although Albedo was a naturally quiet individual, there would be times where he'd laugh too hard it'd end up with him cackling as he hunched over, his hands clutching onto his stomach for dear life as he tried his most to calm himself down.
Y/n missed hearing it all, she missed seeing it too.
They were rare and short.. but even then, it had to be her favourite isle of memories that had occurred in the span of her long, boring life.
"You're a mess" Albedo whispered.
Y/n looked up at him, a tingle of irritation running through her body as she eyed the smug look on his face.
She knew too well that she herself wasn't in great condition to go out, it wasn't like she cared either way.
Y/n came to the hospital in pyjamas like usual, her face bare with deep, black bags brushing the area beneath her eyes.
Her hair was messy and was usually kept in a low ponytail, strands of the h/l, h/c locks she held falling from the band.
"Guess we both have our days" she joked, one hand fidgeting with the edge of his bedsheets.
Albedo scoffed lightly at her comment and focused his attention to the window where snow was falling endlessly on the streets.
The sight was neither comforting or disheartening, but somehow it made him up to feel numb to whatever occurred to his physical shape.
"Guess we do"
