MADISON POV
Thomas was always different from everyone else. He could get anything he wanted from anyone but he never would use people, unlike all of his peers. He was popular but didn't act like the rest of them. We all loved him but I knew something was different...off. His smile and laugh where fake but nobody noticed. It was like he didn't feel any emotion, not happiness, or sadness, or anger. He was just...neutral. The thing with Thomas is, he is always wearing a mask. Nobody's ever seen the real Thomas, we all just see what we want to see.
"Jamessss it's the morning get up!!!" I heard him call.
I sighed and went downstairs, he sat there with a smile, and he reminded me why I was here. He was the most beautiful boy I've ever seen, god I'd just love to marry him. Something about him was different. He wasn't his normal self right now and it scared me.
"You alright Thomas?" I asked suspiciously
"Never been better? James I wanna take you out sometime, like how guys take out girls they like!"
"You w-wanna take me on a d-date?" I got nervous, I never liked dating people...but I guess it was Thomas and he is a good man who I always felt something for him I just never knew what...
"Yes sir! You don't have to say yes, hell if you say no I understand." not a ounce of fear was in his voice, his words where clear and proud
"o-okay..."
"Okay as in yes or okay as in mom come pick me up I'm scared?!" Thomas said with a smile
I relaxed
"Yes as in take me on a date."He giggled and we took off. I didn't know where we where destined to stop but I enjoyed the car ride, the rain falling on the roof and down the windows and the soft jazz playing was perfect. We pulled up a hill and to an abandoned building.
"T-Thomas are we lost?"
"James don't talk crazy this is where I wanted to take you."
The roof was cracking off and parts of the place was missing. Cobwebs and rats infested the place, it was not my ideal thought for a date but it was alright, I'm sure Thomas knew what he was doing...
Thomas grabbed a few things out of the trunk before climbing up planks to reach the second floor. I followed, Thomas laid a blanket down the floor right under a big hole in the ceiling that was covered with a curtain of some sort. I sat down as he poured me a glass of red whine.
"James...you ready?" Thomas said grabbing the cloth.
I swallowed and nodded. He pulled back the curtain to reveal stars in the night sky, without the city lights masking them each star burned bright. It was pure beauty.
Thomas sat down next to me and handed me Hal B a loaf of bread. I smiled and admired the way he looked at the sky. It was truly special, the way each star reflected off of his eyes and the way he looked at each one as if he was seeing a puppy. That gaze made me fall in love before and is going to again.
I sighed. The remembrance of me leaving was heartbreaking. I didn't get to enjoy my life like this everyday, with Thomas by my side.
Thomas never looked away from the stars that night, and it killed me knowing he'll never look at me in the same way.
