MADISON POV

The bright sun leaked through my eyelids waking me up. Was that a weird sentence...yes yes it was. I sat up and sighed, today I had to fly back. I didn't want to go home to the hell we call a free country yet I really had no choice. My job meant much more and I had to help keep America together.

I changed and grabbed my suitcase, walking out of the bedroom. As I walked into the kitchen I saw Thomas drinking tea, he smiled at me, and I nodded back.

"You ready?" He asked

I just nodded and made my way to the car. Thomas sung along to the songs on the radio, rather cheerfully. I sighed, was he happy that I was leaving? Did he just not care? Did he never really like me and was just trying to be nice?

I tried to dismiss the thoughts with the answer that Thomas was just oblivious or masking how he felt, no matter how hard I tried it didn't alter my emotions.

We arrived at the airport. Thomas grabbed my luggage and we walked in, we found our section and sat to wait. He never really looked up from his phone, not even really acknowledging me existence. About half an hour went by before we all started boarding. I stood up and looked at Thomas, he did a quick double take before realizing what was happening. He stood up and look at me, not really knowing what to do, I gave him a weird hug goodbye. I walked on to the plane and sat in my seat. I looked out the window, watching the world disappear around me.

2 WEEKS LATER

Life was boring and chaotic with Hamilton around. He was constantly running his mouth and writing. Not to forget, pissing everyone off. Washington had called both of us into his office.

I walked through the doors to see that I was the last to arrive.

"James, please take a seat." Washington said, gesturing to the empty chair next to Hamilton.

"As I was saying, as we form our new nation we need to have positions and jobs, which is why I'd like to introduce the idea of having a Treasurer and Secretary. That's why you two are here, Hamilton I want you as Treasurer.

"Yes sir that's perfect I already have this plan for our economy-"

"Later Hamilton anyway-" washington cut him off, but I cut him off

"So does that mean I'm the Secretary of State?" I asked though I knew it was a yes

"No."

I sat there dumbfounded. (Insert shocked pikachu face)
"Who is it then?! John Adams, John Jay? John-"

"That's not important, Hamilton you're dismissed, I would like to just talk to Madison in private."

Hamilton nodded and walked out with a little skip.

"This is why I needed to talk to you. You will be the assistant to the secretary, or maybe the treasurer I just don't know yet-"

"I'm sorry sir but I don't want to just be an assistant for my time here. I want something more important."

"Yes, which if I could finish you would get. You will be apart and a voice in decisions that the Secretary or treasurer will be in, therefore you will play a big role in our government." He explained

"I'm sorry but no. I will not work for Hamilton-"

"But you will work for our secretary."

"I might if you tell me who it is."

Suddenly the door whipped open and slammed against the wall. I quickly turned around to see a man in a magenta suit and a big poofy Afro. My heart skipped a beat.

Thomas.

He strutted in and sat down, putting his feet up on Washington's desk.

"Your secretary has arrived." He removed his sunglasses and blew a bubble with the gum in his mouth.

Thomas.

"Madison? Hello? James Madison?!" Said Washington

I quickly snapped out of my trance and looked at him, not saying a word.

"So what do you think of the assistant job now?"

"I'll-I'll-I'll do it s-sir..."

"Great, I'll give out all the files tomorrow, for now, you both are dismissed."

We walked out of the office and made our way out of the building.

"Soooo???" Thomas said, looking at me with his arms extended for a hug

I giggled and jumped into his arms, wrapping mine around his neck, pulling him into a deep kiss. I smiled, fully aware that this was the start to a wonderful relationship.

THE END

Thank you for reading all this and I'm sorry I didn't do more, I've just done so much of Hamilton to where I've lost a love for it.
