     Today is the day.

I am confident. I am strong. I am bold.

I repeat the affirmations in my head as I walk to school. It's the day I stand up for myself to Brent himself. With no tears, fear, or regret. I will show him how bad he hurt me and that nothing about it is amusing.

Peter, Ned, MJ, and I have made a plan on how to get to him. Yes, I know a plan seems to be a bit childish but come on. You have to have a plan in order for things to go the right way. Also yes, Ned and MJ know what Brent did and why we are doing  what we're doing.

Once I get to my locker, I'm greeted by MJ.

"Hey." MJ said, leaning against the locker next to mine.

"Hey.." I said, with a small smile.

"Are you sure you know what you're doing? Have you ever made a move on someone?" MJ said, her face showing how serious she is.

"First of all, ouch. Second of all, it isn't like it's real. All I have to do is walk up to him and ask him to meet me in the gymnasium tonight." I said, looking around.

"Don't you think he will be questioning why in the gymnasium?" And why here in the first place?" MJ asks.

"I mean probably but it will work. Trust me." I said, looking at MJ.

"Okay, okay." MJ said. She then walks down the hall and stops at the vending machine.

Peter then walks up next to me.

"Hey darling." Peter said, grabbing a hold of my waist.

     "Hey Pete." I said.

"Just remember, I'm always right here if you start to feel-" Peter said, but I cut him off.

"Peter, I got this." I said, looking into his eyes. His soft eyes always make my heart skip a beat.

"I know, I just don't trust him." Peter said.

"You have every right not to. But trust me, I can do this." I said.

I then see Brent get to his locker which is a signal I should hurry over to him before he leaves. I look to Peter signaling for him to let my waist go. He then gives me a small smile before I walk off.

As I make my way over to Brent, I repeat the affirmations.

I am confident. I am strong. I am bold.

I then reach him, and give him a tap on the shoulder. I start to feel my body to go weak at the contact of our bodies. Remembering the last time we touched. I then take a deep breath and speak.

"Brent, hey." I said, with more confidence than I imagined.

"Uhm hey.. Y/N." Brent said. It almost sounds like he was surprised.

"So.. I was thinking why don't we meet up tonight? You know, catch up with each other. Been a while since I've last seen you." I said, proud that I haven't cried yet.

"Y-yeah, sure. Always nice to catch up with an old friend." Brent said, as he stroked my shoulder.

"Okay.. well how about at eight, here in the gymnasium? I know a way into the school. Plus it would just be us." I said, putting my hand on top of his.
