I was woken up by my alarm I had set for 6:00am. I set it for earlier so I could take a shower and still have time to eat breakfast with Gran.

I sat up leaning over the side of my bed, to turn my lamp on. I then rubbed my eyes getting used to the bright light that was now lighting up the room. Finally, scooting out of bed I open my door and make my way to the bathroom. Gran had still been asleep, due to her light in her room not being on and her not being in the living area. I then get to the bathroom shutting the door behind me. Turning the shower water to a medium warm, waiting for it to heat up before stepping in.

After, I assume, a fifteen minute shower I grabbed one of the towels I set out on the side table next to the sink before I had got into the shower and wrapped my hair up in it. I took the other and wrapped it around my body. As I walked out of the bathroom I felt a cold gust of wind from being in the steamed bathroom. I rush to my room, almost slipping halfway. I then reached my closet, and started to debate on what to wear for the first day of my new school. I didn't want to wear anything that would draw attention on me. As if I had something like that. I schemed through my closet trying to find a decent outfit, when I came across my royal blue dress that I had worn to Brent's party that one night. I have no idea why I kept the dress, it tells a horrible story that I want to be able to forget. After school today, I'm gonna get rid of it and that's a promise.

I had ended up picking a dark green sweatshirt with 'Hawaii' sowed in yellow letters that was plastered a little bit above the middle of the shirt. I then paired it with my boyfriend jeans.

My hair was still a bit wet so I decided to blow dry it, until all parts of my hair were dry. I brushed out my hair after it being all over the place from drying it. I decided to straighten my hair, rather than having my natural wavy hair.

Afterwards, I applied some mascara and cherry chapstick. I then slid on my black converse over my socks. Finishing off the look, I clipped my butterfly chain around my neck, adding little butterfly earrings. I grabbed my bag that was next to my desk and headed to the living area, where I assumed Gran was waiting for me.

"You look good sweetie." Gran complimented.

     "Thanks Gran." I said.

     "Are you ready?" Gran asked.

"Yes.. I'm starving."  I said with a little bit of an exaggeration. I really was hungry.

Gran and I stepped out into the hall. I waited for her to lock the door before I had started walking to the elevator. She had a bit of a struggle but after a couple tries she finally locked it. I beat her to the elevator and went ahead and pressed the button for us to head down.

It took about a few seconds before the elevator doors opened and we both stepped inside, with a light shake to the platform, which frightened me a bit. When we got to the main floor, we were greeted by the man at the front desk.

"Good morning ladies." He said politely.

Gran had said it back while I gave a small smile with a head nod. As we walked out we were hit with a chilly gust of wind due to it being 7:30am. The coffee shop was right next to our complex, so it wasn't a long walk.

When we reached the glass door in front of the coffee shop, I held the door open for Gran then went in behind her. The smell of coffee hit my face which made me smile. I love coffee.

"Hi, what can I get for you?" The barista asked.

"Hi, I would like a black coffee with a sausage and egg biscuit please." Gran said.
