Life had become monotonous, or that's what it felt like. Everything was Sam's yet nothing was. She was the same person, with the sane body yet she felt changed.
She felt like a new version of herself, yet she wasn't really sure how to feel about it. She should probably be happy, or content, but she was neither, while she gazed at the long strips of papers that had various basic information of normal human gadgets.
The different programs and weapons, how to operate and work ahead with them.
Panchaali breathed deeply, gazing at her own hand written notes, and everything she thought would be important.
It seemed like a wise thing to do, to write so she wouldn't have to sit and explain the same thing over and over again.
Her heart felt heavier, as with the night rolled in the tide of memories, rising a sea of emotions. That wielded high and mighty in her heart.
Making it difficult for her to process and think, and to understand. What had her life come to be? Never in her life she had ever imagined that she would travel back in time.
Meet people she never thought she had any idea of. Getting a chance to know the heroes of an epic, getting to know real life warriors, was a dream come true to many, but the price that she had to pay was...
"Panchaali." Arjun's deep voice broke through her stupor, startling her out of her thoughts.
She gazed up at him, her dark eyes locking with the hazel orbs that shined with concern. The mesmerising golden flecks shone in the silver light of the wanning moon.
"Are you okay?" He asked, his voice growing deeper, worry laced with each syllable.
She nodded, blinking her eyes, gazing around the room, trying to find something to focus on.
This men always made her lose her heart, made the damn cursed organ beat harder, like a horse galloping in the forest.
No matter how much she tried, the emotions rained in her, flooded and wrecked every wall that she tried to dam her emotions in.
Drown her heart in, having feelings for more than one men was not healthy, not right, she needed to understand this. Her mind screamed the fact at her everytime, yet her heart just seemed to have turned deaf.
"I am okay. Just finishing up with the work. A little tired I am, so I'll go sleep once I put this things back up." She shot the first excuse that tumbled in her mind, mentally cringing at her tone, she knew that he would never believe her words.
The lie was obvious, but pandavas were perspective men. Drawing assumptions was never who they really were. They understood the unsaid. And that scared her more than anything.
She shut the book hurriedly, her mind focused on to leave the tent so she could get some breathing space.
Her mind seemed to go on a walk when one of this men pandavas were around.
Her heart quivered, as she turned to the shelf that had the old scriptures, she pushed the wooden bound leaflets up in the shelf, trying to ignore the heat of his firm body, that she could feel at their close proximity.
Arjun gazed at the back of the woman, his woman. He didn't know why she was suddenly retreating in her shell again, but he really didn't like it one bit.
What made her pull back everytime? He wondered. He walked up to her, he knew for a fact that she was lying but what he failed to understand was why?
Why lie to him when he has been nothing but understanding to her? He could clearly see the attraction, dare he say love, towards himself and his brothers, than why did she pull back everytime?
