Sam's POVIt's been a week since I've started training Tony and he's one amazing kid. He caught onto everything on the very first day and he just keeps on getting better. I'm so proud of him. We've been at Beau's since I discovered Dylan and I've never been better. I guess I just needed to spend time with my boys.
We are all in the basement, which I didn't even know existed until now, in the Theatre Room watching The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. Yes there's a theatre room and yes Tony chose the movie. It was at the part where Patrick and SpongeBob get "ice cream wasted" as Tony put it, when my phone rang. The caller ID showed that it was Jane,
"Hi Jane, how was your trip?"
"Oh it was absolutely fantastic. We can't thank you enough for watching over our Tony. How has training been?"
Tony couldn't stop laughing at the hungover Spongebob on the screen and I had to laugh too.
"It's been great, Tony caught on pretty quick and he's been getting better as the days have gone by. And there's no need to thank me, I love Tony as if he were my own little brother so it was no trouble, are you guys home yet?"
"No, we just got out of the airport. We'll be there in about thirty minutes," which gives me the perfect amount of time to get us back there. I just hope the pack members don't hate me for leaving like that.
"Alright, well I'm glad you both had a safe trip and we'll see you soon." I hung up and got myself and Tony ready to go. We said our goodbyes and I lead the way back. I actually can't wait to hear what he's got to say about everything.
As soon as we stepped foot on the yard, the pups ran towards me and Tony, "can you teach us how to track!? Pretty please with a cherry on top?" and that was followed by puppy dog eyes from the 15 five-year-olds surrounding me. How can I possibly say no?
"Yes, I will," was all I was able to say before they broke out screaming and howling with joy. These pups remind me of my old ones, so full of energy and life. I can't wait to help these guys.
"Is this the girl we're looking for?" A beautiful woman in her late 20s or early 30s asked as she made her way towards me with a handsome man in tow. She had beautiful ocean blue eyes, paired with blonde hair tied neatly into a bun. Her husband had jet black hair and silver eyes. I knew he was Dylan's father because they had very similar features.
"You must be Dylan's parents," I'm kinda nervous here. I mean what could they be thinking of the girl who ran away for a week.
"Yes, I'm Selene and this is my husband James. You must be Sam. It's wonderful to finally meet you. I apologize deeply on behalf of my hardheaded son, and we don't blame you for leaving. We all understand."
Oh thank God. I can breathe again.
"Thank you for understanding, I just needed some time but now I'm back. I'm going to teach the pups how to track and train the fighters, if that's okay with both of you of course," I'm pretty sure they already knew that but I informed them anyways.
"Yes dear, you can work with my husband on the scheduling and anything else you may need."
I was about to thank her when I smelled something in the air. It was a mixture of blood, fear, and rogues. I ran into the woods and found two teenage pups severely wounded. I put each one on either side and walked back to the front of the house.
"They came out of nowhere, we were just walking around. I'm sorry Luna," I had no idea why he was apologizing.
It wasn't his fault.
