Beau's POV

I haven't heard back from my guys yet but I'm pretty sure that's not a good thing.

I sent them out to attack Shane and his stupid pack last night.

It's not rocket science.

All they had to do was wait until they were sleeping and pounce.

Granted it was my 5 against their 278 but still.

It shouldn't take 14 fucking hours!

If my guys are dead that'd be my breaking point.

He took my mother from me.

He can't take my guys too.

They're all I have left.

Shane had been having an affair with my mom for almost a year. No one knew about it but them.

Hell I didn't even know until she told me herself.

I lost my dad when I was pup, so I don't remember him.

I didn't have any siblings so it was me and my mom for as long as I can remember.

And for the same amount of time she was always moping around broken-hearted, until she met Shane at a meeting.

All she told me was that things got heated one night and they ended up sleeping together. All the while he had his wife back home.

Jerk.

From what she told me it was only supposed to be a hit it and quit it, not her exact words but you get the picture.

Suddenly one time became two and so on and so forth. Because it had gone on for so long, my mom ended up falling in love with Shane.

For a year I had my mom back.

She was happy and smiling again.

She was no longer locking herself in her room.

Everything was back to the way it was.

But that was short-lived.

Her light dimmed and her spirit shattered the moment he rejected her claiming that he still 'loved' his mate.

That was just a big load of bullshit if you ask me.

Asshole.

My mom didn't take the rejection well, so she killed herself.

After he told her he didn't want to continue the relationship she came home and didn't say a word.

She just hugged me, kissed my forehead and went upstairs.

Little did I know, that would be the last time I would hug my mom.

I gave her some space but when I went to check up on her, I was too late.

After breaking down both doors, I found her in the tub in a pool of her own blood.

Her chocolate brown eyes, glazed over and hallow.

There are just some things in life that you can't un-see.

And in that moment I vowed to get back at him.
