Tears streamed down my face knowing how much pain I put on my whole family. Especially David. I forgot everything that happened that day. After I woke up in the hospital IV's were pricked into to my wrist and stitches were there too.
I sobbed into my hands and I heard leaves crunch from behind me. I turned my head and Ethan was there. I got up and embraced him.
He caressed my cheek and looked into my eyes." I'm sorry Bea. I'm sorry for being such a jerk to you." His eyes held so much sincerity. "I'm sorry for flipping out on you. I'm sorry for yelling at you. I'm sorry for all the times I hurt you. But most of all... I'm sorry for not being there for you. Because that's what a boyfriend should do. I really hope you can forgive Bea."
I let go of him and just just stared at him and laughed unamused. "You're really stupid Ethan Parker."
He stared at me, dumbfounded.
I held his warm cheeks with my cold hand. "I already forgave you. But what you just said...made me realize even more why I'm the luckiest girl in the planet."
He leaned in for a kiss but I backed away. "Nu-uh-uh, Ethan you don't get a kiss yet." His face was shocked.
"B-but, whyyyy?" He whined.
"Becaaaaaause." I said, mocking his tone.
"Just one little kiss?"
I shook my head and crossed my arms. "Nope."
He sighed, "Then I'm going to have to take the big guns out."
"Wait, what?" My arms fell to my side and he carried me, bridal style. "Oh my god, Ethan! Put me down!"I squealed.
He chuckled. "See what you get for not giving me a kiss?"
"Oh so this is about the kiss? Well fo-" He cut me off.
"Shhhh. Don't say anything."
I glared at him playfully. He carried me all the way to the hospital and whenever we crossed the street I hid my face from embarrassment.
Reality hit us when we reached the hospital, Ethan's attitude suddenly went cold. His face couldn't reveal anything.
We walked towards the closed doors of the hospital. Patients were rushing in and out. Isn't funny when you realize that you can be the next person on that bed in a snap of finger?
We walked towards Saffara's room and opened her door. She looked at peace. Her breath was slowly going in and out and even without makeup she still looked beautiful.
Ethan was at the doorway his mind was far away from here and he suddenly came back to reality.
"I'm gonna get some water." He mumbled and walked out.
I turned back to Saffara and noticed that she looked healthier than when she got here. I layed my hand over her hand and stroked away hair from her face.
I sat down on the chair next to her bed. My eyelids felt heavy and a yawn escaped my mouth. I knocked out right there.

Something suddenly woke me up and made me bolt up from the chair. The clock read 7:49, the earliest I've ever woken up in the summer.
Ethan was conked out in the chair across the room and trails of past tears lined his cheeks.
It was still pretty dark outside thanks to the clouds blocking the sun. Weird, lookslikeit'sgonnarain. ItneverrainsinCaliforniaduringthesummerthough.
