Chapter 25

Y/n pov

Fives and I got a new job from the Techno Union. Nora and Ahsoka are having a "Girls Day" as Nora calls it. Nora even somehow convinced Maul to let them borrow Vanitas for the day. The girls kicked us out telling us to go have a guys day and do something alone together. We haven't done a bounty together in a while deciding to do one. We went to the planet Saco Miner where the Techno Union resides. I land being greeted by Watt Tambor with two droids that look werid on either side of him.

Watt Tambor greets us in his deep voice," Welcome to Saco Miner bounty hunters." I ask warily as we come down the ramp," What's the job?" Tambor explains how they are paying us as security since they found out they are going to be attacked. Fives questions suspicious," By who?" Tambor answered simply," The Republic." Fives and I shared a glance at each other. I say to Tambor looking back at him," Alright. Is there anything specific you need protected?" Tambor answered motioning to follow," This way." We nod following Tambor and his droids to a secure room.

Tambor points to it saying monotone," No one is to get inside by any means nessasary." Fives asks curious looking at the door," What's inside?" Tambor responds stern glaring at him," That is classified information. Now if you'll excuse me. I have things to do." He leaves the droids following along I say to Fives," Let's get to work Fives." Fives mutters still watching the door as if it'll open," I still want to know what's inside." I respond nonchalantly," Too bad for us Fives. We better get ready." Fives sighs but nods in agreement with me.

We have an ambush set up everything went to plan the Republic operatives trapped. We stood at the front with the droids ready to fire at them. Fives says suprised seeing Rex relaxing his aggressive stance a little," Rex?" Rex responds just as suprised," Fives? Y/n? What are you guys doing here?" I answered simply motioning to us," It's called being a Bounty hunter. We get hired to do things like for example what we're doing now. Which is protecting something." Rex says hopeful," So he is in there."

Fives questions both of us confused," He?" Rex says rushed," Fives. Echo is inside that room. He has been held prisoner here." Fives responds shocked," What?" Tambor yells loudly," Execute them!" I sigh as the droids prepare to fire I say tiredly," Fives, jump forward." Fives happily did as told I spin around Force pushing the droids destroying them all. I turn back around the only one not stunned into silence is Fives. Anakin and another grey clone came who immediately aims to fire. Anakin quickly reacts stopping the clone he called, Crosshair.

Anakin says looking back to me," Good to see you Y/n." I respond nonchalantly," Nice to see you too, but we better hurry." More droids came attacking us we all take cover. Rex and Tech went inside the room to go get Echo inside the room. Anakin soon went in after them Fives and I are holding our own just fine. On the other hand the Clones seem to be getting overwhelmed. We retreat into the room Rex and Fives were happy to see Echo. Echo gets us to use the vents above us  to escape the droids trying to get inside.

We are lead towards my ship getting cornered between the two platforms on a pipe by droids. R-7 had to come rescue us almost missing Crosshair and Wrecker. We try to escape being chased by flying droids. I easily took over for R-7 taking care of them. We ended up leaving the planet on two different ships after helping the natives against the Techno Union. I wasn't expecting for Anakin to ask if we wanted to tag along with them on a mission.

Fives and I didn't even hesitate happily excepting the offer. We head to a new planet Anakin went to a meeting to talk strategy with Obi-wan and Mace Windu. Fives and I decided to stay with the Bad Batch. I didn't mind Tech I even caught him off guard when I spoke my native language. I remembered the look on his face was priceless. Fives and Hunter got along really well having a chat. Wrecker got bored so I indulged him with a match. Wrecker seemed to have enjoyed every second of our fight even when he lost.

We all gathered together sharing stories we had from past experiences. It was definitely an enjoyable time worth missing out on getting paid by the Techno Union. Rex came informing us of the plan Echo had planned out. We all get ready to go Anakin getting Fives and me to come with them. We got on the ship getting Echo to a com vault where he needs to be. Once Tech does a quick scan Echo plugs in getting to work. We had to trust Echo to do as he says he would do. Rex and Fives had complete faith in him that he'll do the feedback. Anakin walks out warning Windu of more droids on the way.

Windu informs us it was a success, before we could leave however Echo found out about a bomb in a facility that that will most destroy Nexus. Anakin tries to leave alone saying," If you can't stop the detination. Perhaps Trench can." I yell running after him," Your not going alone!" I catch up running with Anakin for the bridge where Trench is hiding.

When we arrived Trench was going to leave the bridge. Anakin takes out the tactical droid Trench backs up arms outward. Trench growls out backing up two assassin droid came up," Jedi scum." We easily take care of the droids Anakin holds his lightsaber near to Trench's throat he growls out," Tell me the sequence to disarm the bomb." Trench responds on edge," Never. Dooku would kill me for losing Nexsus." Anakin retorts glaring at Trench," And you think I won't?" Trench retorts back," Your a Jedi. Your no-" I had thought glaring at him,' Well let's see how he reacts to this.'

I cut his robot arms off his fear leaking out through the Force. I respond coldly ready to attack," Unlike Skywalker here I'm no Jedi. Now, where were we? That's right... the code." Trench spews out the code Anakin tells Mace Windu the last peice of the code stopping the bomb. Trench makes a last ditch effort going to attack us Anakin and I kill him together. We find Wrecker a nice gift taking it with us before leaving the bridge behind us. We catch up with the group getting to see Crosshair's little stunt. We escape the ship Wrecker getting to push the button blowing up all those Separatist ships.
