Your POV

I'm working in the gardens. My body sweaty and covered in mud. My hand hurts from pulling out weeds all day and are filled with blisters. Alby told me that I could switch jobs if I wanted to, but there is one thing that keeps me here. A boy. I see his tall figure in the corner of my eye, his body tenses when he lifts up the axe. I jerk my head around, taking in his all of his beauty. Sweat drops down from his forehead while he takes his bottom lip between his teeth. His eyebrows knit together in concentration.  I notice that my jaw dropped and quickly close my mouth without looking away. His tank top crawls up when he lifts his arms, exposing his toned torso. My eyes go up to his face. His blond hair moves a bit with the soft breeze. His jawline defined and then his eyes. His eyes? Oh, klunk! He is looking at me! I quickly turn around and slap my forehead. Great! So much for playing it cool. I feel a tap on my shoulder and jump at the sudden contact. I turn back around and my eyes meet Newts.

     "You alright, love?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." My voice cracks at the end of my sentence.

     "Are you sure?"

"Y-Y-Yeah, totally fine. Actually I think I'm going to get some water."

"You should. I think the heat got to you."

I give him a weird and forced smile while walking to the 'kitchen'. Suddenly I trip over a log in the middle of the glade, but manage to keep my balance. I turn my head around and see that Newt is still looking. Worried.

"I'm fine!" I yell at him.

"Yeah, totally shucking fine." This I whisper to myself.

Maybe I should switch jobs. I'm useless in the gardens anyways. I always get distracted and end up looking at Newt the whole day. How could I not? I mean have you seen him?! He looks like a shucking god with those golden locks. I hate myself for being this way, 'the typical teenage girl', drooling over a boy. I arrive at the kitchen and see Fry looking at me shaking his head with a smile on his face.

"You saw that? Didn't you?" My tone sounds plain.

"I thought the plan was to play it cool?"

     "I know."

I sit down on a wooden chair, while an annoyed groan leaves my throath. I put my elbows on my upper legs and rest my face on my hands. To embarrassed to even look at my best friend.

"Oh, (Y/N). I'm sure it wasn't that bad."

"You should have been there. Luckily, he just thought that the heat got to me."

"See, atleast he doens't think you're crazy."

"Fry!" I lift my head up to look at him. "I'm not crazy!"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I know. You're just horny." He lifts his hands up in surrender.

"What?! No, I'm not! One more word and I'll throw you with the grievers."

Fry laughs and goes back to cutting the vegtables. I stand next to him and pick up a carrot and a knife. The 'kitchen' has a clear view on the gardens. I can see Newt putting down the axe and walking over the grab a bag. He collects all the wood and stores it in the bag. His hair drapes in front of his eyes and he pulls a hand through it. Damn. He stands up wiping the sweat of his forehead. I can see his biceps flex when he lifts up the bag filled with wood. Ow! I look down to see a small cut in my finger, a few drops of blood slide down my finger. Fry just laughs and I punch his shoulder.

     "It hurts." I whine.

"Well, that's your own fault. You should focus on what you're doing instead  of staring at Newt. Plus, you're drooling."

     "Shut up."

I punch him again on the shoulder and wipe the drool of my lips. Fry is the only person that knows about my little crush on Newt. It's not that hard to notice, though. I'm not great at being subtle. I make my way to the med-hut to ask for a bandage. The blood already stolled when I get there, but I just want to make sure it won't get infected. I open the door and get inside.

"If you're here to hide from Gally again you can just leave." Jeff doesn't look up from his work.

"Relax, Jeffy! I cut my finger. Can you just clean it so I can get back to work."

A loud sigh leaves Jeffs mouth. Wow, dramatic. He goes to a little cabin in the corner and takes out a bottle of rubbing alcohol along with some cotton balls. I sit on one of the beds and hold my finger up while pouting childish. Jeff shakes his head at the sight.

"How did you cut your finger anyway? Aren't you supposed to be pulling out weeds today?"

"Yeah, but I'm helping Fry out in the kitchen."

I inhale a sharp breath when the cotton ball touches my cut. Jeff didn't even look up. That boy can be so insensitive sometimes. I do it again, not because it hurts, but because I want to get his attention. No reaction. I do it again, this time louder. Sadly, I gave myself away. It wasn't even touching my wound anymore.

"What?" Is all I get from Jeff.

"Nothing, just wanted to see if you even got a heart." I smile at him.

Suddenly the door opens and a boy steps inside. I don't look at him and just keeping smiling at Jeff.

"Why are you smiling like that?"

Klunk! I know that voice. I turn my head around, trying to push back the red on my cheeks.

    "Heeyyy, Neeewt. How are you?"

"Good, thanks. Hey, Jeff? Can you look at my limp, it's bothering me."

     "Yeah, sure."

Jeff backs away from me and turns his attention to Newt. He rolls up his pants, exposing Newts attractive legs. Alright, I think I'm going crazy. Legs are not attractive, but why are his?!

"Love? You look flushed again. Did you already get that water?"

"What? Oh, yeah. Sorry. I'm fine, I promise."

Jeff smirks, knowing what's happening. He gives me a look and I return it with warning eyes.
