Zane X Guard Reader (p1)

Y/n's pov

While I was patrolling at the Palace Garden, I heard a rustling sound, coming from the hedges. I pulled out my sword, slowly walking and looking behind the hedge.

Only to see the highness, I put my sword back, it maked a 'Shing' sound, making the highness to look at me, with an angry face.

"Are you here to murder me?" He said turning around to look at me.

"N-no, your highness. I have no plans murdering anyone sir! Forgive me! I heard a rustling noise coming from here, I thought it was another those rodents. Turns out it was you, Your Highness, forgive me" I bowed down, not looking up and kept my eyes closed.

It was silent for a minute, until he spoke up.

"Your all the same." He said.

'What? What does he mean, your all the same? " I thinked still my head looking down.

" P-pardon, your highness but I dont quite understand what you meant by that. " Still my head looking down.

" All of you, are scared of me. And I kinda hate it sometimes. " he said.

'What? I thought he liked people being scared of him'

"Just because I have an intimidating aura, surrounding and had an awful attitude. Doesn't mean, I don't want my people to like me"

'Glad you know, you had an awful- wait what did he say?'

I looked up and straighten my body, in a gaurd pose.

"If my brother garroth doesn't want to take the throne, then the next  in line is me. If that were to ever happen, I don't want my people hating me, just because I destroyed few villages." He said, looking at the moon, with his cape covering his whole body.

' I kinda hated you, because of that' I said, rolling my eyes.

" Well, thank you for listening. I will be heading to my quarters now. "He said walking towards the door.

I bowed my head. " Oh- and. Don't tell anybody about this, ok? If you do, then you know what's next" he said, with his deep voice ringing through my ear, straight to my head.

~Times skip~

1 week has passed and I didn't tell anyone about what happened that night. Though I'm shocked on how he acted infront of me. His telling me all of his worries, I kinda like it. You know, people sharing their worries, and just ya know, be there and listen to them.

If I keep patrolling on the garden, will zane say something else? Or is he gonna be there?
