Beyond the Unknown Lands was a wasteland that haunted the soil with terrible things far more freighting and horrible to the likes of death. All who trailed are never seen again. Just looking from a hilltop or a vantage point from a mountaintop would see the black soil of a land too scorched to settle over and dig for vegetation. No plants or vegetation grew from black land of black soil, and the very air a person would breathe is a poisonous fume.

It is believed a rock that fell from the stars above struck a land far to the west of the Unknown Lands and destroyed a highly believed civilization and all its residents living in a far distance. The civilization is believed to be highly arrogant, highly arrogant, and overconfident. In this belief, the civilization tried to build a tall tower to reach toward the sky where it is said where the gods dwelled, and they tried to build it up high to find the "world of gods" and try to become gods themselves.

Blinded by their arrogant beliefs, the people of the civilization built the tower that stretched outward by a thousand feet. Then when it seemed the people had the view of the gods' world in their grasp, an asteroid fell from a night sky, struck the tower's top first, and the heart of the civilization itself.

A large strike in the by a giant rock doomed the people and their entire culture, cities, towns, and all their lives straight down to hell and all was lost.

Since the stories were told, the land known as the Unknown Lands is said to be the territorial borders of the people who tried to build the tower and every person living on the land were extinguished by the asteroid's impact on the land that killed all mortal lives and scorched the land of which the people lived on. The land served as a reminder to anyone who tried to play as gods and reach for possibility of immorality.

It is also said the ghosts of the people who lost their lives still haunt the land to any living, modern traveler who dares to travel on the scorched land of the Unknown Lands. It is also thought anyone who dares walk on the black soil is said to sink into an unmarked grave where no one living would find single mortal being dragged into an unknown grave by already-dead ghosts buried in long centuries past.

The ancient civilization tried to chose immortally through experimentation even among their own people, which led to painful cries of agony. Even their brutal methods to find immorality had become their undoing and a wide earth tremor caused by an uncertain death of gutting out a heart that sent the entire civilization underground and destroyed everything, erasing them from all existence.

The last and only thing that remains of the mysterious race is the landscaping changes of the Unknown Lands inherited by their power. A landmass always changing was too dangerous for traveler to walk, and it always meant certain death.

But in the air, it always meant a higher chance of success, and that is what the Twins decided coming of the night. They used the griffins at night to fly over the land. Very few humans with flying animals passed through the Unknown Regions and cared to map out the rest of the land. They soared beyond the borders of the mountains and forests to the Unknown Lands.

The Twins infiltrated through the black mountains with at a very high speed on their griffins. The griffins' flying abilities outmatched the fastest cheetahs on land. All they had to do was to hold their hands, and a great power shrugs from their hearts. Divided, their power limited. United, their power doubled.

With their power on the double and their stamina increased, the Twins could amplify a hidden power contained from their organ hearts; this certain kind of power can amplify nearby animals, humans, or creatures. This instance, it was the griffins' wing power. The griffins were upgraded with better flying abilities, and they could fly through whatever comes their way.
