Sam's POV
I twitched that night, waking at 2 in the morning to the sweats, and I was trembling. Tyler had left and I went back home. I laid in my room clinging the sheet. He loved you, he didn't mean to hurt you, stop dragging yourself over this. I said to myself. I finally fell back to sleep. Through the rest of the night to the morning. It was Monday, which meant school which meant seeing Tyler.Tyler's POV
I couldn't fall asleep. It was 3 AM, and I was still laying awake in bed. I wanted to cry, but I'm a guy, we don't cry. I fucked up so bad. She's never gonna wanna see me again. She's gonna have a panic attack every time she sees me. I have to win her back, I have to make her see. I will show her, I am normal, I am not a rapist or a pervert. I love her and will get her back.Sam's POV
I walked into school and immediately saw my friend Kasey and ran up to her. I hugged her and she was a little thrown off. I looked at her afterward and she sensed something was up. I wasn't wearing any makeup today, I didn't do my hair, and I was wearing sweatpants and a cheer shirt. She looked at me and asked, "What's going on, no offense you look like you've been to hell and back." "Can we talk?" I asked, "I will give you a ride home after school you can come to my house and I will tell you everything," I continued. Kasey just nodded her head. Then we walked to first period, talking softly about the only thing that could cheer me up right now. Cheer. She dropped me off at my room, then walked down the hall to her room, she waved back at me before she went into class.
Tyler's POV
I rolled out of bed late this morning, I fell asleep sometime around 3:30. I don't know what I'm doing here at school I should have just stayed home. But I got ready I look fine, and I walked into school just as the bell rang to go to 2nd period. I walked down through Yellow Hall to get to Red hall, and I bumped into Kasey, she smiled and waved. Okay if Kasey didn't know yet no one knew yet. Kasey was Sam's best friend and the first person she would have told. I kept walking and I saw Sam. She looked like shit. I mean she was beautiful, but she looked off like there was a problem, I knew the problem was me. I walked up to her, "Hey..." "Get away from me, now Tyler," she said. "What will happen if I don't? We are boyfriend and girlfriend. Everyone is gonna think something's up..." I continued. "I don't care if half the world thinks there's something wrong! There is! It's you Tyler! Get the fuck away from me, I have told you for the last time we are through!" Sam screamed. She turned enough heads for everyone to know in the next few minutes. She was crying, I reached out to wipe away a tear, she slapped my hand away and ran to her class.
Sam's POV
I got to class and asked to go to the nurse. I walked down the hall and felt faint, when I finally got to the nurse, I laud down and fell asleep, I felt safe here at the nurse, I felt like he couldn't get to me. I was wrong, I woke up during 8th period, the last period of the day. I heard a tug on the curtains and I oped my eyes to see Tyler sitting in a chair next to my bed. "Why are you here?" I looked at Tyler in fear. "I love you baby, the nurse let me in I told her I haven't seen my girlfriend all day and she was sick so I wanted to bring her some medicine." "Get out. Now," I pressed the nurses button on the side of my bed. Mrs. Clark, the head nurse, ran back and opened the door, looked at me and saw I was in fear. She then turned to Tyler, "How did you even get in here?" She asked. "I walked in," he responded with a smirk. "Get out," Mrs. Clark said sternly. Tyler got up lifted his hands laughed and walked out. I looked at Mrs. Clark and just sighed with relief. "Want to talk about him..." I shook my head, "I just want to wait until Kasey gets here to take me home." Kasey finally came, I walked out and smiled gently toward the nurse.Kasey's POV
We got in the car and I offered to drive Sam's car. She denied just shaking her. Sam never thought of herself as weak, or incapable. That's why she's my best friend, she's loving and caring and will pick me up when I'm down. I hope I can be there for her when she's down. "Sam. What's going on?" I asked.
"I'm fine. I just need to get home, if all these fucking cars would just get out of my way!" Her road rage was never good when she was normal, but being upset may just make it worse for all I know.
"Get out of the fucking road! You can't even drive!" Sam screamed as she flew past an old man on a side street. She pulled into her driveway and slammed her door when she got out of the car. When she walked up to the door she took her keys and fiddled to unlock the door. Once inside Sam threw her bag down.
"So what's up?" I said trying to lighten her mood.
"I have to tell you about something," she said as she walked through the kitchen to get something to eat, she settled on an apple.
"Okay..." I responded.
Sam chomped on her apple, once she swallowed she managed to say, "Me and Tyler are through."
"I figured as much," I said.
"And... He kind of did something..." Sam said weary eyed.
"Like?" I said
"He tried to do something... To me." she said.
I just sat there staring at her, I finally worked up to say "What are you talking about Sam, what did Tyler do to you?" I said as I handed her a tissue.
"He tried to rape me." She said bluntly, tears streaming down her face. All I could do was hug her. I sat with her on the couch for an hour or so, just cuddling and watching a movie. This was serious, and a crime.
"What are you gonna do about this?" I asked.
"Nothing. And neither will you. this isn't a big deal, okay?" She said.
"Fine, fine, just promise me if he tries anything, tell me and we are doing something about it." I said.
"Okay. I promise," she said.
