I held the bow in my hand as I tried to copy what Aragorn showed me. He placed an arrow in his and hit the target in the center as he grinned.
"Now you try." I tried to draw the arrow into place, but I felt a pang in my shoulder wound and winced. I unsteadily dropped the bow and the arrow flew into the ground as I gasped in pain. Aragorn put a hand on my arm.
"I'll never get this," I said, forcing myself up.
"Are you hurt?"
"No, I'm perfectly fine," I hissed.
"We can stop for today-"
"No! I'm tired of being weak!"
"You are not weak, you were poisoned," he said.
"Just let me shoot," I grimaced. He stared at me like he knew I would do it either way.
"Let me help you," he said as he positioned himself behind me and put his arm on my bow and helped me release it. It hit the target as I smiled at him, mere inches from my face. He returned the smile as my gaze went from his eyes to his lips and blushed.
"I'll get the arrow," I said as he snapped out of it and nodded.
