''Why aren't you eating anything, honey?'' Mom asked me, seeing me poke the veggies with my chopsticks.

"Weren't you the one who texted us that you are starving and feels like eating a whole restaurant down?" Dad joked pinching my cheeks. We were now seated on a restaurant a few minutes drive from the park.

I smiled at them. My mind was disturbed after today's events. My gut tells me I know him very well. But he didn't show any signs of recognition. And that little girl, she seemed familiar too.

Another poke from my mom on my cheek woke me from my thoughts. Maybe having these mouthwatering dishes might take my mind of these unnecessary thoughts. I could be just over imagining.

I was so full after dinner. I laid back on the back seat of the car planning to sleep. Mom and dad were talking about stuffs which were too boring to catch my attention.

I was on the brink of drifting to my dream world, when the sudden downpour interrupted me. Ughh, I groaned.

I usually liked when it rains. Laying on my bed cuddling a pillow with blankets covering me like a burrito and having a sound sleep listening to the pitter patter on the windows.

But not today, it was raining cats and dogs. My heartbeat increased at the loud crashes and sudden flashes.

It was so hard to see the road ahead clearly. If I was the one who's driving, I would have already crashed us into something. My sleep's ruined now. I just stared outside the window trying to make out where we are. Mom was half asleep, she must be tired after the trip.

Next thing I saw was a bright light flash right in my eyes. Before I could take in what was happening, I was thrown back to the seat. I hit my head on the seat and I felt complete numbness. Then everything went black.

The sudden crash in the sky made me jerk off from the dizziness. I tried opening my eyes but my vision was not clear. I rubbed my eyes and my hands were sticky. As I looked, I saw my hands were all bloody. Now that I think about it, my head hurts like it's cracked open. I pressed my bloody fingers on my head to try and lift myself up. But I couldn't, the seatbelt was blocking me, it was stuck.

Mom...dad...ohhh. I looked ahead and everything was covered in blood. Their hands hung to the floor. They weren't moving.

"Ma...dad.....w..wake up....mom...d..dad.." I started shaking them, but they didn't respond. I tried and tried. No...no... What do I do? I should stay strong...don't give up... I started screaming for help. But no one's around. The rain doesn't help either. Phone...phone ...I started searching for my phone...ohh noo it's broke.

I searched again for something, anything to help them. Atlast I found my dad's phone, I stretched from my seat leaned forward till my seatbelt could move no more and took the phone and dialled the emergency contact.

The next I woke up in a hospital bed. Only if all this were a dream. But it's reality and it always sucks. I sprinted up from my bed only to fall back. I didn't have the strength to stand on my own.

Someone came and lifted me up and tried to force me back to my bed. But I squirmed and tried to get away from their grasp.

I struggled and finally they gave up. I screamed to see my mom and dad. They took me to another room. My eyes started to well up.

"Why are we coming here? They are not here." I struggled to free myself from their grasp as I stared at the sign 'mortuary'.

The doctor leaned towards me, "Sorry we tried to do everything we could. But it was too late."

I...I...they are lying. No this can't be true. I didn't find the strength to resist, because deep down I knew they were telling the truth. My whole world fell apart the moment I saw their faces covered in the white sheet. I clutched my chest at the sight.

There was a weird feeling growing inside me. Like I have seen it before. Like I have experienced all of this before. This is not the first time. I...I..turned my head as I heard a crying. I saw a small girl with blue eyes now all redden and puffed up cheeks as tears dropped on her hospital gown. Her head wrapped in a band-aid. Me...th..that kid that's me. How can it be possible? I blinked few more times to make sure it was true. The doctor who was near me before was now holding onto her and comforting her.

I crouched down to look at her properly. She can't see me. Her eyes were fixed on my parents. I heard someone calling me. It was a very faint one. Suddenly she looked straight in my eyes. I stumbled backwards. She didn't deviate her eyes. I stared at her as the voice calling me grew louder and louder.

"Ara...Ara" That voice, it is so familiar to me. I have heard that voice so many times before. I have loved hearing those words. His voice...it's his voice..but who? I know...it's his voice. The voice I missed for a long time.

I shot my eyes open. The light blinded my eyes. After a few seconds, I found myself in a slightly dark room that's filled with so many junks around. Where am I?
