Chapter 36

Third person's pov

The scream was deafening. Though only Jungkook could hear it. He was startled when he saw her fall limp to the ground. He wasn't recovered from the shock of the truck but he still gathered the last piece of his stable mind to rush to her side.

He shook her hard yet careful to not hurt her. He tried everything he could, still it didn't make any change. Desperate he called Namjoon.

"Hyung get here fast, the pocket road near the hospital. She is not waking up I don't know what to do." He was short in breath.

"Kookie, what happened?" He was worried for his dongsaeng.

"I-I don't know one minute she was standing there th- then she just f- fell. Hyung, please hurry, please." He was shaking.

"I will, stay there." He quickly disconnected.

Jungkook tried waking her up with his trembling hands. His eyes were blood red and his lips were quivering. He held onto her still trying to bring her back with the hope that was left in him.

After another few minutes, her eyes twitched. He called her to follow his voice. The next thing he heard was her screaming her lungs out. She tightly shut her eyes covering her ears. He could feel her whole body trembling on his lap. Her skin was turning pale and her hair that was once raven black now was turning lighter and lighter.

Her screams died down after some time. She opened her eyes, her deep blue eyes that was always energetic now no longer had that strength.

"Ju-koo I- I'm sorry." Her voice broke so did her tears.

"No no don't be. I'm sorry I snapped." He tried to calm her.

"What happened? Are you in pain?" He asked again.

"Don't worry about me. Tell me you are fine?" She spoke through her gritted teeth.

"I'm fine. What's happening? You are not fine I can see that."

"It's nothing. It will go away. I remember everything." She tried to lift herself to show him she was strong and he doesn't have to worry. But she failed, she had no spirit left. She fall back to his arms. He snaked his arms around her neck to balance her.

"Y-your tattoo. It's fading." He had a bad feeling that something might happen to her.

"It's ok. I'm sorry we didn't have time like we thought we would." She replied trying her best not to stutter or break down in front of him again, even when her insides were burning like hell.

"What do you mean we don't have time?" His big doe eyes widened with fear. He was scared what he dreaded all this time is finally going to happen. He wasn't ready.

"I- I can't stay any longer Kook. I'm sorry." The tears she controlled threatening to spill.

"No no don't say that. We were finally getting it all together. We were supposed to be together, no matter what, we were." He broke down in front of her whimpering. All this information was too much for him to take in.

"Please don't cry. I don't wanna go like this. Please. When I close my eyes, the last thing I want to see and remember is your sm-smile." She caressed his cheeks wiping the tears with her thumb.

"Please for me, please Jungkook." She asked him again with her trembling lips.

He managed to show her a smile but he couldn't hide his pain, fear, guilt and immense love he had for her.

"It was you, it's been always you. It's just I- I wasn't wo-worthy of your love. I-I love you J-Jeon Jungkook. Aahh." She hissed with pain yet her eyes still locked in his.

"You are and you only are. I love you Ara." He managed to say it. But her eyes weren't moving, the life in her eyes was gone. The blue ocean he loved is no longer living. Her tattoo that marked her life was completely faded, leaving no traces behind.

"Ara, A-Ara." He shouted. He shook her only to no avail. He screamed at the sky, letting out all his locked emotions.

"Please please don't leave me. Take me with you."  He looked at her lifeless eyes. He gently ran his hand over it, closing it forever. This was not what he had in his mind. He had a whole life planned out with her. He was shocked when he saw a small speck of white dust floating in the air. He noticed a few more his eyes trailing her body he realised it was her. Her body was gradually transforming to a pure white dust. He tried to grasp it, he doesn't want to lose her. But this was beyond his desire. Soon enough it was all over the sky as it floated up leaving him with empty hands which still lingered of the last warmth he received from her.

He broke down as he felt like there was no purpose for him to live. He didn't even realise when a pair of hands embraced him or when his phone buzzed non stop. He was numb, he was incapable of anything more.

"Jungkook, kook we need to go. It's from the hospital." Namjoon lifted him from the ground easily. He didn't have the energy to fight him back nor speak.

Namjoon brought him to the hospital. All the rest five were there sitting on either sides of the hallway to her room. Their eyes were all blood shot. Hoseok, Jimin and Taehyung were crying so hard. Jin and Suga were there beside them trying to calm others and trying best not to break down themselves. Namjoon held firmly onto Jungkook's shoulders trying to give him strength.

"Jungkook, sh- she's gone. We couldn't do anything. We lost her." His eyes were brimming with tears. Jungkook just crumbled onto the floor clutching his hair. He whimpered but had no tears left. He wanted to scream but he couldn't raise his voice.

Minutes later he gathered the courage to enter the room and see her for himself. There she laid with a calm angelic face, showing no struggles or pain she tried to hide from him. He held onto her arm hoping she would wake up or atleast show signs that there is still hope for them. No reactions were evident to satisfy him.

Ji Yoo ran into his arms crying, her little arms held onto his legs. She kneeled down beside her and embraced her giving gentle pats on her back. Na Ra looked so pale as she was in trance. Whereas his hyungs, who all came to love her as their own had got their hearts broken.

Kim Ara Hyun has left a big gaping hole in their lives which they no longer could cover. They didn't want to fill that gap either. They wanted to remember her and cherish those moments to their grave. She was their little sister and Jungkook's life.
