We were strolling down the street, taking in all the view when we heard a cry. It sounded like a kid's voice. I looked at Jungkook who's eyes were fixated at the scene before us. It was coming from a small pocket road. We turned to that direction.

A little kid not more than five or six years old was being beaten up by a middle aged man whose seems to be like her father. He was drunk. The place was rather isolated from the busy street, so there weren't anyone else near us. He was beating her with a rod. Her small hands were all purple and blood came out from many of the cuts made by him.

"I will take care of that man. Look after the child." He said to me before rushing to that man.

Jungkook moved the kid away from that man and I hurried to her side. That man tried to take her away from us but Jungkook kept blocking him.

I looked at the kid, her hands and legs were all bloodied. Her eyes were scanning around, suddenly she ran inside her house. I was stuck not knowing what to do. I wanted to follow her but I didn't want to leave Kook alone with that man. But he asked me to follow her.

I got inside that little house and traced her crying sound. She was standing near a woman. She was crying out saying mom. So this must be her mother and he might have beaten her up. I quickly turned and searched for water. I found the faucet and splashed it on her face. The kid didn't see it because she was crying too hard and trying to wake her up. I saw the woman squeezing her eyes trying to open.

That's when I heard a loud scream from the outside. My breath stopped realising it was Jungkook's voice.

I rushed out to see him collapsed onto the floor as blood gushed out of the side of his stomach. That man stood above him with a blood dripping knife on his hands.

I felt a rush of energy rise through me as I heaved a force I never knew I had. It surged through me making me shake uncontrollably because the power was too strong for me to control. I forced it against him as he flew to the wall across him, immediately knocking him out.

I barely had the energy to take a step after that. I somehow dragged myself to Jungkook. He was laying unconscious. There was no one around to help me. I quickly pulled out his phone and dialled the emergency contact. Tears gushed through me as I saw his limb body.

I never left his side. I feared my legs would betray me. I stood by him when he was taken to the hospital.

I somehow managed to gain attention of the few attendees so that they could treat the mother and child. I let the boys know what happened. They reached the hospital immediately.

Their faces were dead serious. I knew how much Jungkook meant to them. They treated him like their own brother. They were the family he chose to live with. They didn't even talk to each other. All their eyes were fixated at the ICU.

I didn't leave Jungkook. I managed to get inside and stay with him as the doctors went with the procedures. I heard the doctors saying he was in a critical condition and might not make it back. He had internal bleeding.

I stayed strong for him, holding his hands, praying to God to give him back to me. I love him and I don't want to lose him. Take me instead but leave him alone safe and sound. I prayed day and night.

One time I went outside to fill the others with what happened. They patiently stood by me as I wrote down the whole incidents that took place that day. I knew they would make sure if the little girl and her mother were all right or not.
