Part 21

"Hey babe" Sebastian said out loud as he put you down before glancing at Tom "Hey". Tom didn't reply, but his eyes were fixed ice cold on Sebastian. "What are you doing here?"

"Tom invited me to come. And since I was away from 3 whole ass years, I thought I'd pass by" you smiled looking around.

"I gotta go, but I'll call you after work. You can come over, I'll cook you some pasta" he laughed turning away.

You looked over at Tom noticing his fists were closed as hard as possible and he was biting his lower lip. "That was a dick move Tom" you said.

"Don't know what you're talking about Y/N" he spat harshly.

"The holding hands shit" you said.

"Oh I'm sorry. I can't hold your hand, but he can pick you up right?" he smirked finally looking into your eyes.

"Just stop Tom. This is ridiculous"

"Yeah Whatever" he mumbled "C'mon, let's go" he said starting to walk towards another door leading to a room where the rest of the cast was.

Even after 3 whole years, everyone was so kind, and they actually cared about what you had done through that time, and some of them even said that they saw some of your work and they were proud of you. It seemed like you still were that 19-year old that dated Tom, the girl that was sorta part of the MCU family. 

"Hey... I've gotta go for a while. You'll be okay right?" Tom whispered to you with a smile making you feel like nothing had changed.

"Sure... I'll wait for you here" you laughed as he walked away.

Evans, Lizzie, Scarlet, they were all staring at you like they were waiting for something.

"What guys?" you sighed.

"It's just...weird..." Elizabeth said calmly glancing at Chris.

"Why?" you laughed.

"Y/N... You just disappeared for 3 years...You guys broke up, and heaven knows how Tom dealt with that" Chris said rolling his eyes "Does this means you're back together or...?"

"No!" you said in a high pitch voice "Just friends. He's living with Harrison, and I hang out with Haz pretty much every day... So..."

Has Scarlet was about to speak, you were interrupted by Robert once again. "Hey kiddo. Can I talk to you for a minute?" he smiled walking to a corner as you followed him.

"It's everything okay?" you mumbled looking up at him.

"Yeah!" he smiled "Just wanted to be sure about what's going on..."

"What do you mean?" you raised an eyebrow not getting the point of the conversation.

"Has anybody told you what happened with Tom since you guys broke up?" he sighed.

"Not really"

"Okay... I'll try to be short." he said running his hand through his hair "Tom didn't show up at work for two weeks after you left. I had to go to his apartment to see if he was even alive. He didn't answer any of my texts or calls, no one knew where he was. When I got him out of the house, Tom was different. He didn't talk to anyone on set, he didn't care about instructions, he didn't show up at about 80% of interviews, he actually got into a fight with the stunt coordinator... After one year, Tom started to come to work completely drunk of his little ass, and when he wasn't drunk it was even worse. There was this one time, where Hemsworth found him locked in a bathroom crying his eyes out, and well... he basically couldn't breathe..." he sighed looking away.

"I d-didn't know.." you said trying to hold your tears. "I'm sorry..."

"Kid you don't have to apologize. Sebastian told us what happened... not the whole story, but we understood. I'm just concerned." he said putting his hand on your shoulder.

"Concerned?"

"Yeah... Tom hasn't smiled on set for 3 years. This a first. Are you guys...? Together? 'Cause all I'm asking is..." 

"I get it" you interrupted smiling "What if I leave again right? Robert... Me and Tom are actually just friends... Nothing else. So... There's no chance that will happen again"

"Maybe for you... the whole just friends thing. But not for him kid" he smiled at you with a fraternal look. "Look. I just care for both of you... Don't want to see any of you suffer..."

"DOWNEY" a strong voice called "YOU UP".

"Gotta run. We'll catch up later okay?" he said running towards the crew.

You could feel your heart in your mouth, tears running down your cheeks making you feel embarrassed to be there, so you did what you always did. Left. 

 The cold air on your face had a strange effect on you, a good one, so you decided to walk home.

"I need to talk to you. ASAP" you texted Harrison.

As you got home, Harrisons' car was parked right in front of the main door. You walked in, finding him sit down on your couch.

"What happened?" He got up as soon as he saw your face.

"What the actual fuck Haz?!" you yelled walking to him "Why the fuck didn't you told me about Tom?!"

"First of all, chill out" he said firmly "What the fuck didn't I told you about him!?"

"Oh let's see" you said throwing your purse on top of the table "Let's start with the fact he didn't show up at work for two whole weeks. And let's not even get into the FUCKING PANIC ATTACKS HARRISON!" you shouted making him raise both of his eyebrows.

"Y/N CALM THE FUCK DOWN!" He screamed back.

"How the fuck do you want me to calm down when you lied to me!! Everytime I asked you if he was okay over the years, you always told me he was fine!!!" you said feeling the tears coming back.

"Y/N" he sighed calming down "If I had told you the truth, what would you have done?" he looked at you biting his lower lip.

"I would had gotten into a plane and come over Harrison!" 

"That why" he finally said "I didn't want you to come. I knew if you come back that you two would probably get together again, and I couldn't see him destroy you"

"Well I pretty sure I'm capable of making my own decisions" you glanced at him.

"I'm sure you are. But as your friend, I didn't want you to... you know"

"Actually Haz, as my friend you should'ved told me the truth. I spend this last 3 years thinking Tom was just....FINE without me" you shouted.

And suddenly your heart dropped.

"I was never fine without you" Tom whispered as he stood still at the living room entrance "I would never be".
