Twelve
Twelve pairs of eyes stared at her while explaining her presentation that nine am morning.
Wednesday
She felt powerful with her dark green ensemble. A v-neck shape dress that stop until her knees once again with three fourth sleeves. It's Billie's long dress that she used for one of those beauty pageant competition though her bestfriend tried to redo it by taking out the extra clothe to define her body more. She's lucky to have a bestfriend like Billie yet she's doesn't know if Evan is happy in what he's seeing.
First, he keeps on looking at her face like there's a huge question mark there then his blue eyes will transfer again on that powerpoint presentation without any expression. She can't read if he liked it since his glowing face had been unreadable since he sat at the farthest end of that long table
As she announced that she still only have three slides left, Evan bowed to looked at his phone, texting while she's trying to impress him.
What a jerk
"I think he doesn't like it," Stef said with a sliding head, sarcastic tone and dark hairs now peeking at the roots of the accountant's head. The woman said that in a low voice while passing by her workstation and she was standing there to see if Evan would exit that meeting room at last.
Mari planned on asking the guy whatever he thought about the presentation since he didn't made any comments nor asked any question about it earlier. Only Domy and the engineer asked something earlier and the two bitchy accounting just squirmed.
At last, he walked out of the meeting room. But as soon as she's ready to stride, Evan turned to his right to the reception. Again. But then again he turned a little where she stand and when he caught her eyes, Evan sticked out his index finger and motioned her to follow him.
She strode there happy because she'll have the chance at last but stopped as she saw a beautiful woman smiling at the reception. Beautiful in long platinum blonde hair, brown eyes, sexy shoulders and graceful on her ruffled off shoulder sleeves of navy blue dress. That smile accesorized her flawless face.
Evan kind of girl.
"This is she?" A soft voice came out of those pink lips
Super Evan kind of girl
Evan nodded and pointed her with an upturned palm, "Mari Cruz, my new marketing assistant. At least for three months." The guy pointed the woman, "Susan, a friend. She'll take care of you"
"For what?"
Her frowning face towards Evan tilted again on Susan's direction because of an offered hand, "Nice to meet you, don't worry"
She reluctantly accepted that yet the woman with a soft hand pulled her and didn't let go until they went outside that glasswall of their office and to that fancy common toilet they have on that floor. There's three offices on that floor so that toilet for women was shared by all.
"So," Susan spoke again softly while rummaging a shoulder bag that she had since earlier, "Why did you chose working with Evan?"
"Uhm, because it's a great time to be part of it right now?" She replied. Is it another interview?
"Sorry about this," Susan said while opening a blush on and took there the tip of a large brush. "Evan's a jerk sometimes."
"I kind of understand what do you mean? But what's going on?"
"Evan told me to put some make up on you. Just the right kind? I don't understand, you are a beauty so I think you don't you need some effort on this," Susan spoke that while already brushing some hues on her face. Well, she just uses cheek and lip tint because that is all that she can afford and all that she knew to use. Although Billie is great on using those colors, she never thought of asking her bestfriend about it
