"Soooo," Evan opened while following her at their office pantry when she decided to take a break. "I have this date tonight…."
She scoffed as she bended in the fridge, "Who's the unlucky "it" girl this time?"
She caught Evan peeking inside the fridge too when she finally straightened up, probably looking on whatever she's taking. He straight up immediately, "She's the one I told you I met in Vietnam last year"
"The jeans girl?" Mari asked while shaking that chocolate pack she took out of their fridge and put a straw on it
"Yeah, that one at the left side of that billboard," Evan stated while looking at the chocolate she's sipping. "We have a chocolate drink supply now?"
"It's mine," she replied that Evan quickly went in front of the fridge to look at the other chocolate boxes. "I bought those and don't you dare take any of that"
"What?" Evan chuckled. "It's in the common place so it's for everyone"
"I signed everything with my name so that you and Ian wouldn't take it," she said in a slit eyes. The guy snatched what she's sipping and took that in his lips.
"Eeeew Evan!" Mari tried snatching it back but Evan stretched his hand in the air so that she can't reach it
The guy swatted her hands, "I'm curious at the taste, don't be picky." The guy wriggled his brows, "Besides, you'll enjoy this taste more with my…."
"It's yours and you're welcome," she cut the guy and bended angrily inside the fridge to take another one. She bought ten of those for two weeks yet only one left inside. Thanks to Ian who took three of it last week before she ever thought to named those. Lesson learned.
"Where can I take her?" Evan returned to that topic. Just two sips and he finished that box and now looking at the one she holds with her dear life.
She rolled her eyes as she leaned at the pantry's counter top. Since that day she saved the damsel in distress, Evan started to ask her every Friday about how to date a certain girl he knew by descibing them and how they look. Mari knew that he'll ask again that week because it's the second week of February, the dreaded Valentines week. "Take her to Carl's restaurant"
"I thought not every girl likes fine dining and shity candle lit, why everytime I ask you always comes up with one advice?" Evan asked that in humor. "Just tell me you really don't have enough to say about it"
"All the woman you want to bury yourself after those fake smiles, pretend politeness and sort were the same so you basically ends up at the same place," she smirked
"You mean to say I need to change chick? Taking chances at other field," he joked
She laughed, "Maybe you should try hens for a change"
"Fuck," Evan blurted with wide eyes, "You mean MILFs?"
She tilted her head, "Milk?"
Evan shook his head with a grin, "I can't believe I'm taking advices from a naive woman who loves to date at the biking trail"
She thought about something for Evan, "Maybe you want to try chicks at the MMAs"
"And risk being a rag doll while doing whatever they does best?" Evan asked and chuckled. "By the way, why are you in a violet dress this Friday when everyone are on jeans?"
She shrugged with an impassive face but the guy's face lit up, "You got a date are you?"
"Maybe I just want to dress up?"
"Oh? You're a pencil skirt, flowy blouse kind of girl. Everytime you're in a dress, something's up," Evan insisted
She made a huge exhalation, "Billie enlisted me in a speed dating…."
